It is a plot item :) You have to give it to her in the camp to trigger the conversation. Another gift for Morri it is the Mirror whcih you can buy it from orzammar.

Yes, this is a plot item.  You must give this to Morrigan in camp in order to trigger a conversation.  I believe this will also trigger a further quest, but no more spoilers.  Enjoy!

Too late now, but generally, I would recommend doing your first run-through mod-free so that you can see the game as the developers intended.  Mods are great, but they can mess with the mechanics of the game.  At least doing a mod-free run-through will allow you to see when something is not right.

Going back to the original question, once you have the Grimoire, you should be able to give it to Morrigan at the party camp.  Your dialog with her should give you the option of giving it to her or keeping it for yourself (which makes sense only if your character is a mage).

Yeah you are probably i think i get too many mods this time but playng Dragon Age Origins in the computer was like a new world, there are a lot of mods out there! and a lot of them pretty cool i had to learn moding and all that, but yeah i think i will run it again without mods and see what happens Thank you!!!

Totally understand!  Moding is something that separates Origins from the two more recent games.  That's why you'll find a number of people on this board who are devoted to Origins to the exclusion of the more recent games.  Some have created whole new companions; others have expanded on the romance options in the game; etc.  Mods for Inquisition and DA2 are fewer and much more limited in what they can do.

And yes, you're right about the difference between computer versus PC versions of games, especially Origins.
