This is obviously a bait thread, but after Diana Allers I hope Bioware learned to stick to actors.
Aren't a lot of characters are models instead of actors? Kai Leng, Shepard, Kaidan, and the likes are all models instead of actors. Although if they were gonna do face scan again, I hope they use unknown models and actors since I don't want to recognize famous faces since it would break immersion when it happens for me.
I'm flattered you've considered me for a cameo. I reluctantly accept - but only because it's time multiplayers get a decent representation in the franchise.
I've never understood the hatred for Diana Allers.
Maybe I just have a high tolerance for supposedly bad VA or something.
Same. I don't mind her much at all.
Felicia Day on the other hand.....screw BioWare for not letting me kill that annoying elf. I wanna knife her so bad at the end of MoTA. ![]()
Nope, no cameos at all whatsoever thank you very much. Male, female, undecided, dog, cat, no cameos ever.
Except VAs or returning characters.

It was a combination of things...
She was poorly acted, which by itself probably wouldn't have garnered that much attention, except that the person voicing her was also not only *not* an actor, but an IGN employee. That irked people because it was a fairly blatant example of how gaming journalists are far too cozy with the developers of the products they're covering. It didn't help matters that Bioware reduced Tali's reveal to a poorly done and rushed photoshop of a stock photo, while spending time and resources rendering and face-mapping (badly) a completely pointless character just so some nerdbait IGN 'personality' who couldn't act could get her cameo.
It also irked some because of what it said about how Bioware viewed its fans. They apparently thought being hot and semi-famous for licking an I-phone was more important than acting talent or how her character was written.
Finally, Diana Allers wasn't Emily Wong or Khalisah al-Jilani. That Emily Wong was killed off on Twitter also played into the Diana Allers hate.

I don't have anything against Jessica Chobot herself, she's probably nice enough, I wouldn't know.
That said, connected with the insanely high scores IGN just hands out all the time (9.5 for ME3 I believe),
and how they defended Bioware and outright attacked everyone that disliked The Ending; well, to me that stinks to high heaven of circle-jerk conspiracy.

With them the VA was done by a different competent person, and they were not connected to a body that was supposed to rate and review ME3...
No. Absolutely no. No more Diana Allers, male or female or transgender, asari or human.

All i basically recall is her terrible acting, then her getting embroiled in having a go at people unhappy at the game despite admitting not to have played the game.
So please never again go down that route.
Vorcha Master Baits cameo.
Or SporkFu I can settle for SporkFu.

Thoughts? We really need to have a few BSN members promoted to moderators so we can clean up stupid threads like this.
Nah. Bring back Stanley Woo!

He banned me plenty back in the day but I usually deserved it. Unlike some of the warnings I've got caught for since the switch.
I only kept Diana Allers on the Normandy as a reminder of what BioWare had become.
Penises aren't as majestic as boobs tho.

But arguably more fun to play with.

Gearshifts > bags of sand.
Put Adam Baldwin back in Mass Effect. He never got his due.
Wait, he's really not much of a gamer, I think.
Ah, thank you for such a detailed explanation. I had my own kind of media blackout leading up to ME3 - I only watched the official materials and avoided the forums, so I missed a fair amount of the discussion around this kind of thing.
Huh, so Emily Wong had her fans. Well I suppose this is BSN, so I can't be too surprised that an obscure character has fans.
Eh, I tend to think most of the hate against IGN is pretty overblown now. Then again, hate against a lot of things tends to be overblown.
I think having an "impartial" news company having a presence in a game they review is a fairly strong conflict of interest. Not that this merits hate toward IGN, but IMO it does merit no longer taking them seriously as a news source.

Me, either. Especially after hearing her talk about Berkenstein's fate. There's some good emotion there.

I still refuse to believe Kal'Rheegar is dead. lol
I just don't like Allers because she's a reminder that they stripped a far superior Citadel Coup story out with Wong and Al-Jilani, gutted half of the game, and then replaced it with bullshit like Allers. Among other things.
She herself wasn't so bad on her own.
