I'm not a fan of SeaBass, but you thought his voice was girly? Folks on BSN have some crazy standards.

It sure as hell was. You didn't hear him scream like a little girl when the chantry got blown up? Hahaha! He was often like that through out the game, whiny with a girly voice.

Not being into girly dudes is not crazy standard, that's just me being into real men xD

Khalisah would have been the best choice for the embedded reporter in ME3, because of the slightly adversarial relationship she had with Shep previously.

Gamer Girls? Those are what i call girls on twitch using their boobs to attract horny teens and virgins and are only playing games for the attention..

Female gamers are girls who actually enjoy gaming and don't do it just for attention.

And please no, they need to stop with this pandering.

Eh, Patrick Weekes is like most writers for games. Sometimes, he has moments of brilliance like with the character Mordin. Sometimes, he misses.

For the topic: I felt Felicia Day did a fine job as Tallis. She can act pretty well, although I'm not a huge fan. My problem was not only the Mary Sue factor (imho Bianca was far worse,) it was that it looked like a face scan. When a DLC character is better detailed than the PC, down to little details like freckles, that's an issue for me. I think I would have liked Ms. Day's performance a lot more if she didn't play such a favored character.

Ms. Chobot is not a professional voice actor and it really shows. She may be very nice and a fan, but I wanted to punch Allers far more than Khalisa. I'm not trying to come down on her, but she can't act her way out of a paper bag. Or maybe she could do better, but the VA director was guiding her to voice Allers in a specific way. Bland, dry, and a little airheaded. Also, it doesn't help that Allers' design looks like an Uncanny Valley character with an allergy to bees (seriously, what is up with those cheeks?)

Give me Khalisa any day of the week. She at least had her heart in the right place and I never hit her. I don't believe, either as Shep or in real life, for committing violence against the press just because they dared say something that someone didn't like. It also doesn't help that I had to ask fans what happened to Emily. When I was told that they killed her off in a real world tweet, it made resent Allers that much more.

The point is that it's been a very mixed bag over the years. We've had replacement characters with horrible design and worse voice acting. There has also been good characters with great voice acting that turned out to be Mary Sues, something these games need like a hole in the head.

I also think that the whole "gamer girl/guy" needs to just go away. It doesn't matter what you may or may not have swinging between your legs. If someone enjoys games, then who cares? In fact, I think the whole mentality is creating yet another unnecessary division in gamer culture. Which is just silly, and frankly, juvenile.

Anyway, no creating roles for non-professional VA's just to fill space, or because they might be a "friend". No more favors from IGN, and if they have someone like Felicia doing another character, don't make them into Mary Sues. If a fan of the series that is an actor like Seth Green comes on, that's fine. He's at least a professional actor and imho, Joker wasn't a Mary Sue. Felicia Day was fine by me; in fact, the only thing I liked about her character was the voice acting. However, the ME and DA teams need to stop adding people from the gaming culture just because someone might like the either series.

Joker is certainly a solid character and all...

but Tallis > Joker

Not sure being punched twice counts as "slightly adversarial"

(I didn't pick that option, but evidently quite a few did)

Do not mind him, he is just a egomaniac ruler and one step closer to burn some witches since five minutes ago.

Well, if you want to play that game - I would urge thay no one give any credence to a manipulative and compulsive liar. Someone who would sink to an ultimate low if only to push their own flawed and failed agenda.

Bugger off

If he weighed 90lbs and couldn't defend himself, then yeah.

Funny stuff.

That's sexist.

I am now triggered, which you have just provided me with a casus belli to wage my own personal battle against you....for social justice! - I am a proud male and a staunch masculinist

I demand equal treatment!

I was wanting to add my two cents to the conversation but going through five pages killed my interest.
