I've read the guide posted on here and I think I understand it but I just want to make sure. Assuming I got all the ship upgrades, go straight through the Omega 4 relay without delay after abductions and did all the loyalty missions except for Jacob's and Zaeed's, can I kill off Jacob by sending him through tube WITHOUT killing anyone else? Is there another way to kill off Jacob while having everyone else survive?
Jacob dies on suicide mission but no one else?

There are a number of other ways. Just off the top of my head: (These assume Jacob is not loyal)
1) Have Jacob lead the 2nd fire team
2) Send Jacob back with the crew as the escort
3) Take Jacob with you to the final boss fight.

But do these cause other people to die as well or just Jacob?

In the cases cape and gown suggested, only Jacob will die. But if you want to eliminate him asap, just send him in the tube. Loyal or not, he will die. No one else will die if you choose the right people for the tasks (biotic bubble, fire team leader, escort and final fight).

Where were you when Jacob dies?

Thank you for the responses. I tried to kill Jacob off on my last play-through by not doing his loyalty mission but he survived. And then unlike Zaeed, he survived ME3 and right on through the reaper war and is prominently featured in the Extended Cut. I didn't even like the guy or use him much and he's the one they show? Not this time! <evil laugh>

If you want Jacob to die in ME3, don't rescue the ex-Cerberus scientists. His name will be seen on the memorial wall after completing Chronos

If I were you, I'd take Jacob and Mordin or someone so he dies and everyone else lives.

I like to kill off Jack by not buying the ship armour. Unfortunately, Shepard does that cringy auto dialogue something along the lines of "No. She can't be dead!" even though my Shep would never care about psychopathic murderers (unless s/he is renegade (because that's hypocrisy)).
If I were you, I'd take Jacob and Mordin or someone so he dies and everyone else lives.
I like Jack. She's not really a psycho, just a very abused person who changes with a little respect and/or love shown to her. Her scenes in ME 3 are some of the best, imo, so I would never intentionally kill her off. Jacob, on the other hand, is just boring AND he cheats on FemShep (if he is romanced). My Shep didn't romance him so I'm only killing him off to see how the EC ending changes if he isn't alive. It's nothing personal. ![]()
