What do you guys think of Valta and the end of that DLC?

I just did the war table mission where we investigate the strange sound and that mission result sounded creepy as hell.

My reaction was "Corypheus v2.0, right there."

She just behaves... odd. Like Larius or Janeka at the end of Legacy.

On mine it was another stupidity forced on protagonist in order to create another disaster to deal in next game ,pretty much da 2 was very fond of it.

There should be option to shank her or at least imprison but nope just let her be because that made sense.

Titans aren't necessarily a good thing ™. The last thing we learned had a mysterious call - a song if you will - involves something that rhymes with bright.

I think Valta was okay (though I liked Renn better), but I didn't like the DLC that much. It felt out of place and like suddenly Inquisitor was just a side-character. Also please no dwarf magic.

The end itself was okay I liked the final battle and I did like to explore the deeproads. Also fighting darkspawn is always good fun. The DLC was all in all okay, but I think the story could've been done better. Valta stole too much of limelight.

I think Valta was good. There was a little bit of forced storyline at the end because you can't encourage her to go back to Orzammar, but that's mainly BioWare's fault.

I think she will play a HUGE role against Solas. If the Veil falls, her titan will be used to save a bunch of people in Ferelden and Orzammar. Maybe the titan will become the main base in the Crossroads. A safe haven from the freed evanuris.

Has everyone found the secret letters from Valta in the codex journal?

My thoughts were:

Not again! (Larius)   :o

She's acting very weird...why am I forced to walk away like nothing weird is going on?

This is not a good thing.  <_<

See, my reaction was the opposite.

This is a very common sci-fi trope: human meets advanced aliens, decides to return with them to home planet/ascend to a new plane of existence. Nothing bad comes of it.

I doubt we'll ever see Valta again. She's one with the Titan now.

Isn't Valta more like the avatar of that particular Titan? How else would a titan be able to communicate with other races and non-stone connected dwarves? I think we will see her again, but I'm not certain if she is necessarily bad.

My thoughts
a) Solas is gonna be a jerk that only cares for ancient elves and other ancient creatures (incliding Valta and her Titan) are going to help to take the crap out of him.
b- Solas either cares for the ancient world in general or just will pretend he does, but he is gonna get aid of other ancient creatures including Titans and therefore Valta.

I loved fighting darkspawn again, it made me nostalgic for DA:O. Enough of this human nonsense, let's get back to the only fight that matters.

Valta will be back, probably as an antagonist, and probably with some sort of FrankenRenn in tow.

I'm not sure if Valta dug up Renn. I think she would be inclined to leave him there. It wouldn't surprise me if the Sha-Brytol were responsible.

I laughed way harder than I should have.

I'm assuming they take the whole 'when you die you return to the Stone' thing veeeery literally.

I'm worried that the Sha-Brytol somehow "converted" him. Is that what happens to dead dwarves in the Deep Roads? Their souls return to the Titans, and their bodies are put to work as the Sha-Brytol? Are they just animated corpses?

Valta dug up Renn and revived him most likely using the titan's powers.

I'm really hoping that she becomes some sort of benevolent entity later. It'd sure be nice to not have everything turn into ancient evil.

The Sha-Brytol are alive, Rock Wraiths however, are said to be dwarves so mean that the Rock didn't accept them back when they died, guess that we can cut the part of evil dwarves.

Are they alive? The Sha-Brytol show no indication of a culture beyond "kill anyone who gets near the Titan" (even Valta makes that observation) and they live in close contact with lyrium, which causes harmful effects to the living.

Honestly, ever since the whole Titan reveal I assume this is what happens with all dead dwarves... at least the soul part. Hence the tradition of entombing them within the Stone, saying that their soul has returned to Her, etc. Only the casteless are unworthy of such an 'honor'. I guess they get dumped in the lava.

Obviously for Joe Dwarf it's just tradition and culture, but at its root...

It'd sure screw with dwarven culture if it turned out that it made no difference and all dwarves were equal in the stone. None of this paragon crap.
