I wasn't sure which email I had used for my EA account so I tried one and it took the password I used and logged me in but turns out it is not my account.... not sure why it would kick it back or ask to me create a new account which is dumb anyways... I want to change the login to my correct one and can not figure out how to do that... I have deleted everything I can find on ME2 and have cleared my 360 cache and still it logs in with bogus information and I can not use my CE content that I paid for... Is there a way to change the login?  Surely there is a way to change it...

That sucks. But at least it asked you for the login information. Never even asked me. Thankfully it somehow knew already. I'm guessing from when I logged in an DA Origins a few days earlier. *shrug*

You need to go to support.ea.com or call them at 650-628-1001

obviously nobody on this forum cares.

Sadly I have been on the phone with EA for 40 mins with no help and the live chat is just about as worthless.  This was after waiting an hour to chat with someone:

Yeah it is sad... A company that is hurting financially you would think would want to promote good customer service on a block buster hit to try and turn the company around... this is just sad really and I do not feel bad for EA.. This is wrapping up to be the last Bioware game I will ever buy...

BW could you at least act like you care about the plague of problems your game is having.  EA seems to be not helping now since they have shut down their chat...

Firstly sorry for my english.

I got a similar issue, having 2 accounts registered on the EA database. By my fault I used the wrong one while trying to log to Cerberus after reinstalling the game via Steam... There isn't any option to change the account settings and I tried to lock for some file to edit, but I've found a workaround. The game ask me to use my Cerberus key already used on the correct account.

If you know wich account you used (or the game) by fault, and the related password, you can login your "wrong account" automatically used by ME2, then change password and or email address, save and quit. Restart ME2, it will notify that Cerberus is getting issues while connecting to the server (because the default login and password has been saved somewhere and they cannot work anymore obviously) , then you've to click on Connect and it will finally ask you to reenter your login and password manually, you will be able to use the correct account linked to your bonus items and missions.

I got this issue and I've just solved in this way. But you've to know wich password you used on the second and wrong account, not linked to your bonus. Or you've just to be able to check that old address in order to make an ordinary password change procedure.

i had a similar issue and in short, i gave up and reinstalled the game just to get that stupid prompt to put in a different login for Cerberus!

my situation:

emailA - an EA account with all my dragon age origins stuff (and blood dragon armor for me2 doh)

emailB - my Bioware/Cerberus mass effect2 account, with all my stuff

after transferring data from my old to new comp, I started up mass effect2, entered emailA and kept getting errors to enter my cerberus cd-key. tried loading my saved games, said it couldn't since i wasn't logged into cerberus.

solution: basically, a reinstall -- since i have steam, it was a matter of deleting the game from:

[steam install directory]\\steamapps\\common\\mass effect 2\\*.*

[steam install directory]\\steamapps\\mass effect 2 content.ncf

[steam install directory]\\steamapps\\mass effect 2 bonus content.ncf

[steam install directory]\\steamapps\\mass effect 2 english.ncf

copyied the game back over from my backup (thankfully, i didn't have to re-download)

started ME2, put in emailB when it asked for my cerberus credentials and no problems since.

I hate that i have this disparity but oh well..

hope this helps!

I had this problem last night and I entered my other EA account info. So I've lost access to my Collector's Edition stuff for ME2. It doesn't really concern me as I'll lose some bits and pieces that would be interesting to play through, but **** happens!

It would have been nice if they added the feature in the game to change the account you logged in with. EA = very special people with no sense of customer service!

While this thread is rather old, the solution to changing your account that you have logged in with is simple. In the options menu under internet, turn "Auto login to EA Account" off. Then restart the game, when you re-start the game, you will be able to enter log in information, at which point you can turn back on auto login if you so choose.
