To be honest I dont think anyone even knows where the Illusive Man is at. the only connection I can make to that planet behind him is the planet that the Reaper is behind in the old Prothean visions. So.......idk, its a stretch

Yeah....sure it will be resolved in some way in ME3, but I have been wondering on the significance of the planet colour changing....

Just taking a wild guess here, but I'd say any indication of him separating himself from humanity in dialogue is megalomania, and the eyes are augmentations, possibly something to allow him to take in and process data much more quickly. He does say that information is his weapon, after all.

It is likely this.

There is NO WAY he is a reaper. We fought a human reaper. Or the human reaper embryo even. Lets compare size. Human reaper = gigantic. TIM = human (size).

They are likely implants that either benefit him in hologram scenarios (since he always is in some hologram or other as thats how he stays separated), or perhaps they are to help him take in more of his surroundings and thus be able to "know" more, or perhaps they are just to make him stick out from all the other characters.

I've seen arguments, and even made the argument that if they were implants, why is he the only person that we've seen that has these eyes.

The failure in this argument is that, we haven't seen everyone nor have we even seen many people in high power positions like his. The absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.

Maybe it's just an aesthetic choice? Willing suspension of belief about the planets changing color and all that.

Anyways if I get a chance to whack the IM I'll totally do so.

In one of the developer commentary videos, where they talk about the concept art of TIM there is mention that they thought it would fit to have him sitting watching a dying star. The shade of the star at the end is just an aesthetic choice that represents your paragon or renegade status.

Am i the only one who thinks that all this "TIM is no human, look at his eyes" is nonsense?!

I think that his eyes are just some special texture used by the artists to picture when some writer told them that TIM have very special and deep eyes.

And regarding to his attitude, i think he's just "too human", that is guided by fear and ambition. I can't hate him for that but i gladly replaced him as the leader of Cerberus, Sheppard is the man/woman for the job, i think.

Miranda knows where TIM is. She's with him in person before the Normandy goes down.

I too noticed that his eyes looked just like Saren's, and I went the whole game expecting him to turn out to be the end-game baddie. I felt sure that sun behind him would turn out to be the sun in the Collector system. Now everyone who played through the game knows that wasn't the case, but I still suspect him of being a Reaper pawn much like Saren.

I think it's far more likely that TIMs eyes are cybernetic implants. For one, his eyes look extremely unnatural, "electronical" even. And for the other: Shepards eyes become quite similar to them only having a red tinge when you go for a renegade character and that seems to be directly connected to all of the implants Shepard received from Project Lazarus - Dr. Chakwas tells you that renegade actions cause adverse effects in the implants which mess with the healing process.
But TIM having cybernetic eyes alone obviously is not sufficient proof to deduct anything else about him.
