Oh yeah.  I was just playing around with him.  I can see from reading his posts and the posts that he "likes" that he has a great sense of humor (humour if you're Crimson).  He just stirred up my competitive side so I have to throw a few light jabs :).   Not lately, but I've seen him around a few times back in the day.  I just wasn't a member of this site.  I know hes a good player and it will be good times.

I'm no stalker or anything.  I'm sure he will get to it when he gets to it.  And then he will be burned in the reactor and blown up with nukes :)

Gasp. By the fact that Crimson knows the queens' spelling of humour, I deduce that she's British. Holding on to chair.

That's a terrible thing to call an Irish person. Especially on our centenary year. I'm just a weirdo when it comes to correct English. Incorrect spelling rustles me something fierce.

sincere apologies. I can never get my head around the British Isles/Great Britain / United Kingdom. Britain being a landmass and not a country. And then Great Britain is actually called "Great Britain and Northern Ireland". Which would, by definition, exclude Northern Ireland from Great Britain, but it's not. Or why not also call it "Britain and Northern Ireland and Scotland and Wales" for that matter. Then there is Ireland - but also Irish - in northern Ireland. By which one would not know where someone comes from when they say they're "Irish". I only know that 50% Irish women have red hair. Or even why the international waters on the Scottish coastline would not belong to Scotland, if they choose to become independent. It's all so very confusing.

Don't tell me your one of those modern Irish girls that don't speak proper Gaelic anymore 0.o Grenn.

I'm from the Rep of Ireland. Practically no one here can speak fluent Gaelige anymore. Only those who live in Gaeltachts i.e Irish speaking regions of Ireland. Or those that want to really try, I really don't.

Anybody here watch the recent match-up of his? Sure he might've lost but it was still a great fight by both of them!

Some people would argue that in that profession and others this is the sign of a champion.  Full confidence.  To know every one else is beneath you and you can and will win.  There is nothing in your way but yourself.

Eh, I find his personality grating myself. Loads love him here, me not so much. Also I don't like UFC not a big fan of boxing either but I'd watch a boxing fight before I'd watch the former.

Nah that's just showmanship. The man talks big and sells big, it's part of the business.

He's pretty polite with his fans though and is very funny. He's also respectful to everyone "Except" the guy he's about to fight which is to be expected after all. Also he's got great technique if you're into that sorta thing.

Boxing's pretty good as well although it's kinda having an off season. Just don't watch a Mayweather fight when you start to watch it. He's good as a fighter but such an utter bore!

Top o' the mornin' te ye all.  I play pool on a Tuesday night with my mates, otherwise you can be sure (to be sure) that I would have been happy to play Reactor Hazard games all night, but then I would have missed out on some of the ******-taking in this thread.

North, South, East, West - it's all good - and at the risk of offending anyone who, unlike me, actually gives a crap about Irish / British politics, I'll attempt some brief clarification.

All of the following applies to me, in whatever order takes my fancy at any time -

I'm a dual passport-wielding Irish/Northern Irish/British/Ulsterman, who resides in the North Atlantic archipelago known internationally as the British Isles. I live in Northern Ireland (The North, or The Six Counties), which is a constituent part of the geo-political area known officially as the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and I semi-regularly write emails to companies based in Great Britain who offer free postage to 'Mainland UK' addresses, explaining to them that the geographical area they are referring to is actually called Great Britain. Northern Ireland is not in Great Britain, it is in the UK, which by definition wouldn't exist without Northern Ireland being a part of it, because, as I said, the full title of the UK is the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Northern Ireland must therefore be considered to be part of the Mainland UK, with smaller islands such as Rathlin and the Shetlands being examples on 'non-Mainland UK' addresses.  It's actually pretty simple, but seems to be beyond the comprehension of the average Englishman, who thinks that Great Britain is called Great Britain because Fatboy Cameron thinks Britain is great. Poor David is struggling greatly with Donald Trump's calls to make America great again, because that was originally his rallying cry.

I live on the border with the Republic of Ireland, also known as Ireland, Southern Ireland or The South. When I cross the border from Northern Ireland to Southern Ireland, I invariably travel north, and my destination in 'The South' will be further north than any part of 'The North'. This is a fact. It is also a fact that the ferry crossings between Northern Ireland and Great Britain are, when measured on a cost-per-mile basis, the most expensive in the entire world, despite being internal domestic routes. It is also a fact that the people of Northern Ireland are represented in a sporting contest at Olympic level by either 'Team GB' or 'Team Ireland', but at no time does 'Northern Ireland' feature, since the official re-branding of what was always 'Team Great Britain and Northern Ireland'. They apparently rejected 'Team UK' because it just didn't sound Great enough.  This may seem trivial to the Brits, but many may regret it if Rory McIlroy wins an Irish gold medal in Rio.

I watched the McGregor fight last night, funnily enough. Epic. No strong feelings about him one way or the other but Sinead singing The Foggy Dew gets me every time. In light of all the above though, I have a lot of respect for McGregor insisting on having some of his official merchandise scrapped because the maps of Ireland had the North removed.

TL:DR watch this instead - it's entirely factual.....

True enough, also I haven't met a lot of women who're into UFC except strangely my sister. Then again I shouldn't be surprised since her favorite game is God of War

Chill about the pm, it's up to your leisure!

Not Irish but Conor was how I came to hear the foggy dew and I love it. I love the male version of it as well, Sinead is amazing but this has another feel to it!

@Grunt lol dat video. Rubber bandits are hilarious.

Hopefully I might swing by Dublin for the centenary celebrations, if I'm not working of course. I've seen so many 1916 stuff this year, dat patriotic feeling is in full swing, it's everywhere aha. Fortunately I'm a big history nerd so I'm loving it.

It's really not, you know. There's this woman called Arlene something, and she has a bezzy mate called Nelson McProdland, or something like that - they're really really really not celebrating. Like, at all.

Yo Krogan, I see your Wolfe Tones version and raise you with the one and only Luke Kelly, whose physical similarity to McGregor is undeniable...

Not that you don't sound great as you are or anything, but I think at least 1 time you should really turn on the thick accent and let me hear how you do it....even if its just to cuss me out once.

That was a great fight to watch.  My wife and I are both MMA fans.  She likes Conor and I've been a huge fan of Nick Diaz ever since he gogoplata'ed Gomi. And so by association, I was also rooting for his kid brother Nate.  Conor does seem like a decent guy when not in hype mode.

I'm not a fan of Mayweather at all but am a fan of his technical brilliance...but I guess he realized early his style wouldn't sell tickets. So I'm guessing he adopted a pro-wrestling "heel-like" persona so that people would pay money to see him lose.  It obviously worked!

You ain't the first person to be disappointed when hearing me in game. I had a friend who I used to game with back in the day, he too said mah accent was sub-par. I mean yunno I try not to let this stuff get to me but sometimes...

Eh, it's more to do with where I grew up. If I lived in Cork like my mom's side of the family I too would have inherited that thick singing twang like quality to their speech. But I didn't grow up there, I grew up in Port Láirge. (Waterford to you plebs)

Not disappointed at all.  I like how you sound.  It's like you're good natured, but you can tell theres a hint of sass right under the surface.  I got to hear up popping up a few times.  It was really fun.  You and 12L messing with eachother.

But yeah....now that I know you're Irish?  You have to step your game up!  :P

Ah yes, popping is to be expected with my Jupiter connection. Sometimes me and Jer would be talking and both of us are confused. What'd you say? You're breaking up, call NASA and so forth.
