I have completed most of this, but I am close to the final battle with David.  I need to trigger the elevator, fight the geths and then go down.  According to the wiki there is a pillar I can hide behind that has good observation of the tubes and is relatively safe from the geth.  Does anyone know if their is a map of the area so I can find the pillar in advance of the fight?

Will the geth pulse rifle be a good weapon to use?  I want to take out everything quickly and wold love to take the core out the first time the shields fall, if possible.

By the way I only died about 15 times getting past the geth cannon.  I wish the Hammerhead could fly.  It's amazing that it can get you to and from the Normandy, but once it's down can't fly higher than 10 feet.  The developers really dropped the ball on this thing.

15 times? Wow. The first time I played the dlc, I died twice during that sequence. Mostly because of my own fault. Now, if I do play it, it very easy. What I do is I start firing at one of the shiled generators until the cannon locks on my position. I speed away letting the canon destroy the generator. I do that for the rest of them. Similiar to what this person did.

The part where you have to shoot the VI connection, I would use whatever weapon I have. Once the shield appears, I use the grenade launcher to take down the shield protecting David. After firing the grenade launcher a few times, I had to fire at the VI connection again except there are 3 of them I believe, then use the grenade launcher to take down the rest of the shield

Well, hang head in shame, it took me a few times to realize that I didn't need to take down the shields myself.  Then it took me a few times to realize that the cannon left the generator standing and I had to either let the cannon take out the generator or do it myself.   It took me a few times to realize that the blast radius would kill me, it took me a few times fumbling with the controls and getting stuck in the river bed and it took me a few times when the camera went screwy and I couldn't see where I was.  And then the cannon nailed me once when everything was down and I stayed to long in one spot trying to take it out before it took me out.

I went through that too - its no biggy.  The very first time I saw the minerals, tried to mine them.  That was bad.  Then I tried parking on one of the shields (you can land on the on the way down).  Tried to jump off when it targeted me, camera went wonky - you know the story.

Its all about having fun while playing "The mishapful adventures of Commander Shepard".  They should make a hardcore character version of the game, where you do not get to freeze time and you get only one life.  Pulling that off on insanity would be a heck of a thing to make it from ME1 all the way to the beam run in ME3.
