We should be able to have kids.

In fact most here doesn't even have parents.
Their grandparents had no kids.
Their parents had no kids ,
So why should we break that tradition?

I played WoW off and on for about 6 years, and this is so true.I don't need to have the option to produce off-spring in the single player campaign. I am going to have to deal with enough children as it is in multiplayer----- they are called PUGs.

I should have known better than to take this thread as a serious request. I've seen weirder ones in the last month.

They'd take it seriously in the DA threads, too, lol.
Yeah, as bad as Andramada is, their obsession with any kind of romance-related content pales in comparison to the DA sections.

No, we really shouldn't. People and their obsession with children...
If they're giving my protagonist chidren there better be some safe haven laws in the Mass Effect universe because I'm not keeping them.
Edit: Yes, I get that it's a troll thread, but I've seen this suggestion before, I wouldn't be surprised if there are people who actually want this, and it's an allround crappy idea.

It'd be annoying to have kids, I would then have to choose which waifu based on which one can based down galeforce.

Firstly: Kids aren't the only meaningful result of sex (if you think that (@OP!) then you are a poor person and I pity you!) - it feels good and is a bonding experience for a couple, not to mention that it relieves stress (hell, Garus even says that when he tells his "I had reach and she had flexibility" story!)
Secondly: Military personal shouldn't have kids (even less on a space ship that's constantly involved in combat)! Hell, IMHO every woman in the military should be on long term BC (not the pill, as that can be forgotten when a woman is stressed) IMHO!
Thirdly: I wouldn't have a problem with this over all, as long as it's optional (same for marriage) and you can decline without breaking a characters heart (basically having them leave you)
Fourthly: Still I'd rather this not be in the game (they have enough to do making this as good and memorable as Mass Effect 1 and 2 - without repeating the blunder that was Mass Effect 3 (which I still don't like - hell, the gameplay was great, the best in the series, but the story...oh god the story (and that crappy crappy ending - even with extended crap DLC))

Exactly
- this children obsession is really strange (for me at least...I don't have any and I've never wanted any either and I hate facing discrimination (I pay more into (mandatory!) disability-insurance (in Germany!) for example - it's not much, but it's still discrimination, same for all that money that is thrown at parents (why should they not have to pay for their decision? It also creates a baby-boom among the less educated if you pay for a lot of the costs a child produces - otherwise those people would not have children in many cases - and it's not really an incentive for well educated people who can afford children on their own!) because of my childfree (not childless, as I am not missing out on children, no: I don't want them, so I am free!) status!)
I'd kick them off the ship, too if that's an option (or not have them...hell, I'd love an apprentice or something (like James or Garus, as both looked up to protagonist) like that, but an actual child? Nope!)
greetings LAX
ps: If marriage is in the game I similarly want to be able to opt out (without offending my romance option and being a total douchebag about it!)

From the last 14 pages, it's becoming clear that EA has a enormous educational responsbility towards majority of impacted families (direct/indirect), of me:a players, on the value of cause and effect and of families.
Anyone that has been on a real safari and had the smell of decay from a hyana mouth 50cm away on the other side of a thin plastic tent sail knows that nature/elements can be extremely humbling, especially when you have a real rifle and youngster in the same tent.
There are balance in everything. Learning about leadership and care will result in much less virtual rambos going bonkers when schoolmates ties their shoelaces behind their back.

No kids. Only codex about how some species have them. Maybe some people talk about them. Ya want kids in games, read the ones that have books and comics that are fillers and not canon. ![]()
