Lel serious answers..
Yeah how about we raise a kid in the first game then we are able to import the save data to play as the kid the next game round. So if you were a shitty parent, they'd be a renegade or a spoiled brat and if you were good they were a straight A student and sings the national anthem every scene. Oh and moar asari as well.

That wouldn't work since Bioware has romances that won't result in children, either because the relationships are same sex or they are with an alien.
Did this in Fable II and III and of course Sims 1 through 4. Not really interested in doing it again. I'll just let them have kids or not after the game is over and they are continuing their existence in the land of Tron.
I don't see that happening in the game.
But if it did, I would have them all wear humanity number 1 t-shirts. At school I would tell them to run up to the alien kids and tell them that humanity is the best species. hahahaha. At home they would learn the history of Earth, the greatest planet in the universe, and the home of humanity. Excellent.

AS, TB, This is the best idea I saw since 13 pages, here in mea forum. You are a geniuseseses (to quote eeh-or). Why did no-one thought of this gr8 idea until now?how about we raise a kid in the first game then we are able to import the save data to play as the kid the next game round. In SP we can bring in the tamagotchi concept. So you have to pay attention to your kid every 22 minutes, wherever you are. Of course all internet devices are allowed ( tablet, mobile) and it should do a human check (age verification, squiggly numbers, favourite friend from high school) everytime. But really Simple tasks - simple says like stuff , two long flashes and a short , ie that has no fixed pattern. That will baffle the old stepwise dependent player to the brink of a nervous breakdown. A undisciplined kid will siphon a stay increased rate from your credits, or if left unattended will cause you to devolve in into a lower level. Instead of waiting for a sequel, why not let them become adolescents during the long journey, taking over that personality and suffering old negligence- like black& white game of old.
Yup I'd forgotten to add about the angry teenager bit and about creating a real time game dependency. ****! EA should be taking tips from us!

It can work with an ample sprinkling of Space MagicTM.
There are mods - so I've heard *cough* - for Skyrim that ... allow you to ... and then you (as a female) can get ... you know ... stuff like that ...and things and so on ...
It is all kinda ... well ... *stares at the ground* ....technical and ...I am not sure it has a place in ...
*ahem* What I wanted to say is that having kids is more a thing for your headcanon after the story is finished. Just like Shepard's survival! I headcanoned my Shep + Kaidan several children, and they play each day happily in the downed carcasses of giant Reapers on Earth!

I headcanon my Shepard went back to the military after their recovery as a instructor on Titan.
They also head a network for former Cerberus operatives and personal to flee the persecution and 'justice' of the greater galactic society after ME3 but that's a different story.
Not opposed to it for some romances. Heck Bioware's done it in the past (Morrigan in DAO and Aerie in BG2)
But as others have pointed out, it wouldn't be feasible for all. Unless adoption was an option
I'm genuinely wondering if this is a troll post (from OP) or not.
All I can picture right now is someone at BioWare starring at the screen after reading this, without blinking eyes then slowing walking backwards away from the monitor, in shock.

After the "tali's sweat" post and several others, how can they be shocked at this point?

The original post probably is. That or the poster is a big fan of minutiae.
Still, the original, non-hyperbolic idea (having a kid with a LI) is, I think viable, to a certain degree.

I prefer kek myself.

Yes. As a wise poster once said, "I'm still here for the lesbians. Space lesbians."Oh and moar asari as well.
The "spawn" nomenclature in the OP is a bit unsettling. Are these kids from the Village of the Damned?

Unless you're posting from 1977, you should probably be aware that same-sex couples can become parents to children in a variety of ways, even in quaint old 2016. No space magic required.

When I had a tamagotchi it always died in like 3 days so for me that would not work. I would have to attend a funeral every other week.
NB: Mass Effect is not a simulator. It's an action/RPG where you shoot things, make decisions and roleplay as the hero in a monomyth-type narrative with good guys and bad guys and an often complex plot to follow.
If you want your waifu/husbando simulator I suggest you play Fire Emblem Awakening or Fates. Those games have the crappiest storytelling I have seen in a while too and their "character-development" and romance systems is pure meandering but naturally people like it because they get characters saying "I love you" to each other and that's all some people care about.
I'm not opposed to children in RL in any way. That being said, unless children are integral to the plot and story then just no. Besides I really don't want to worry about my kinder's head getting vaporized in the cross fire.
Way too hard to implement in a remotely decent way in a Mass Effect game while still being a secundary optional part of the story probably.
