@OP: This is the power fantasy crowd. You're barking up the wrong tree.
We should be able to have kids.

Sounds rather weird and specific, what would be the hook? The role for the clone / sibling?
Same as a child? Someone that depends on the PC?
I dunno. Something in the genetic makeup that's important? Escaped lab experiment who needs your protection?
Or heck, maybe they've got knowledge or abilities belying their apparent age and are there to protect you. Wild Wild Flower in Jade Empire.

That's not how you BSN, Op. You're doing it wrong.
You've got to ask for hybrid Human-Quarian babies.
That's not even that weird given Garrus asks an arguably far more squicky question of femshep in the very games we're talking about. Liara too, but hers isn't creepy so much as it resulting in her fanbois wanting to inject their dumb fanfiction into the plot of ME:A with requests for blue baby protaganist seemingly twice every month or so.
No, you understimate the power of the BSN/ ME fandom.
now this thread is pure.

I thought it was cute when Garrus expressed that he wanted to have kids. Thank goodness Shep laughed and said biology wouldn't cooperate. I didn't consider it squicky.
Considering my Shep and Garrus's relationship, and the seriousness of that conversation, they pretty much knew imminent death was awaiting. When you're overcome with emotion and grief, you hardly have control over what you say. I'm pretty sure anyone would be saying crazy crap before facing slaughter.

Speaking seriously for a second, and to be fair, I like Garrus and thought that particular line was intended as his particular brand of tounge in cheek (as does Shep it seems). The actual thought of how a bird/lizard/insect man- sapient hairless ape hybrids would seriously work is what I was talking about. I'd think a relatively normal person would go for Garrus because they like him as a person despite the differences, not because they want alien birdman with toxic spunk to somehow sire their offspring. Biower doesn't need to pander to that sort of fanbase.
Hybrids of any sort would be just no (asari don't technically count and are already established, so I'm more w/e about that), but given the furry fetishes I see on these forums and elsewhere in this community (as above), it wouldn't surprise me overmuch if ME eventually went all Star Trek in that regard.

Knowing Arishok, he is definitely trolling big time with this thread!
But I could be wrong of course... although his absence speaks otherwise xD
It's just that I spend all of this effort into making an amazing OP. A gameplay addition that would take this series into hyperspace and all I get is 90% ridicule from the whole forum! I have feels too! I feel hated and that people aren't willing to open up. I don't even understand how someone could be so closed minded as to not see how great of a system this would be. This is why there are no devs in this section and this is why the devs are always more active in the MP sections of the games. The real fans that love their work are there, and offer great posts, as well as great company. Here its nothing but haters.

I love how some folks have a idea, they think is amazing. Then they sound out others, who mostly think its a bad idea. They then return with haters are stupid and do not get my awesome idea. Rather than consider their idea could just stink. Really step back and look at what you are proposing, in relation to ME in general.

.... on hindsight, I'm kinda glad that Kaidan didn't have any dialogues about having kids together with my FemShep. I kinda let the nightmare kid and Anderson hint that for me.

I agree, but you shouldn't let these SP malcontents get you down. This is a great idea that would introduce many roleplaying oppourtunities. Like, do I want my little quarian to grow up to be a shotgun toting tech geek or a carpet bombing grunt? Such an important decision for me to influence! Way better than unimportant garbage like RGB endings or what to do with the lolCouncil.
Keep doing your thing. Don't listen to these losers.

Significant other: I have news... I am... pregnant.
Me: Well, at least the kid is born of love.
(Mass Effect: 5)
Daughter: Hey, father, can I hang out with my friends tonight on the planet we're orbiting? Mother said it is okay.
Me: Do you have your knife or dagger with you? And is the locator switched to "on" on your omni-tool?
Daughter: (Sigh) yes, father.
Me: It is a school night; be home before 11.
(Mass Effect: 6)
Daughter: I am 21 now, father. I want to be a courier/mercenary just like you!
Me: (Sigh) I knew this day was coming. Well, let me show you the ropes.
