I don't know what's worse - the fact that there's no clear train of thought (Sarah Palin makes more coherent speeches), or that the design of that website is a crime against the internet.

Given how you can't trust more than a few people in the same canoe without at least one of them trying to set it on fire... how are we supposed to seriously believe that a cabal could exist that controls everything, as well as manage to run it all perfectly for millennia without anything going wrong?

Knowing how human history is more a series of coincidences, accidents or screw ups, most of which caused by stupid or very drunk people, should such a nefarious group ever have been formed, they probably were unlucky enough to decide to convene for their first meetings;

In Pompeii, a state room on the Titanic, the middle of the woods right before the Tunguska event, Hiroshima seconds before the bomb dropped, a small cabin under Mount St Helens or the WTC car park (either time).

Nah, the idea that any attempt at creating the Illuminati tend to be wiped out inadvertently before they even managed to get comfy on their ominously shadowy table, seems vaguely more plausible than most conspiracies theories I've heard?

You're obviously a Repitilian from the planet Klaaptu IV! Or a Jew! Or even worse, a Jewish Reptilian! Stop trying to suppress the truth!

Ah, that was one of my guesses. This has sure been...something to read. It amazes me how some posters are able to tread that very thin line between posting their mind and violating the TOS.

Judging from what I've seen linked over the last couple of weeks, I'm very glad I'm not in the DA forums right now. I know the ME forums aren't exactly warm and fuzzy, but this has gotten really out of hand.

Reminds me of that funny story about David Icke getting temporarily banned from Canada because they thought he was promoting anti-Semitism by writing about a Reptilian conspiracy.

He was rather indignant about the matter, telling them that Reptilians are obviously real, whereas the global Jewish conspiracy... now that's crazy talk!

He really should have stuck to playing professional footie. At least he didn't miss the ball back then as much as he's missing the irony, as well as half his marbles, right now.

I love the conspiracy theories involving governments. They always have governments with a record of staggering incompetence somehow manage to pull off to perfection these amazingly complex plots involving thousands of actors, and yet manage to keep the whole thing secret.

The conspiracy theories about some sort of Jewish cabal being responsible for all the world's ills would be amusing if not for similar crackpot theories resulting in genocide in the past. Is there anything that hasn't been blamed on Jews yet? Somewhere, right now, I'm sure there's someone blaming the flat tire he got from a pothole on a Jewish conspiracy.

Another great send up of conspiracies was this amusing sketch on "That Mitchell and Webb Look" depicting a secret branch of the British government planning to assassinate Princess Diana in '97.

They come up with a convoluted plan involve a car accident, a drunk driver and a bunch of paparazzi chasing them through a tunnel. Then halfway through arranging when they'll set it in motion, they get the phone call informing them that all that just happened, by sheer coincidence. So they decide to lie and say they'd done it, because they'd already been paid.

There's an adage I once heard, "There are no cover-ups, only a bunch of c**k-ups".

All this conspiracy talk is making me think of two things, first being The Vigilant Christen who makes a ton of conspiracy videos (covers things from debt to Disney as Satanic Illuminati.  And second being Gail, Gail is hard to explain and I'm pretty sure I'd get in trouble if I put up a video of any of hers. Let's just say she's nuts and nearly everyone is a Jesuit clone, mostly celebrities, who are on her marriage list, because the real ones are in her church, in space.

The later, definitely. Though they're probably related.

On an unrelated BSN note, I'm getting a migraine. I don't get them much, but when I do it's bad. Too bad I can't take ibuprofen. I'm allergic to it; not fatally, but I break out in hives. I look like Mick Jagger after a fist fight. Hopefully I can sleep in a bit.

<random hugs to the group> This thread and this group has helped me quite a bit, and I feel like I've gotten to know you all better. :)

This Solas thread... now they're arguing over what constitutes a metaphor (page 94).

More Solas discussion happens in that thread than The Blanket Fort. Still a guilty pleasure to go in there and poke it with a stick.

Don't forget the ability to romance yourself! It's all very meta.

(Gives new meaning to the term "self love.")

It will spawn a 500 pages long thread discussing, whether it's incest or masturbation. Dictionary definitions of the word metaphor will make an appearance every 50 pages.

I usually use paracetamol for those though idk if it helps really ^^; It's just lot of pain until attack is over. But I guess you could get some dedicated painkillers for migraines as well, my mom has some that effect blood veins and that's only thing that helps her properly.

I think I accidentally fed a troll thread. I've been reading it and there seems to be a level of insistence that I only see with bait posters. I keep trying to give folks the benefit of the doubt. Remind me to wait on those kinds of threads for about 4-5 pages before I post.

All of this drama over a few minute tribute video. Jeeze Louise. As far as I'm concerned, I said goodbye to Shepard at the end of Citadel.

"But it's been a good ride."
"The best."

@Panda: I almost never get migraines thankfully. I wasn't able to nap last night, but I found some naproxen (Aleve) and that got rid of my headache. I was able to sleep this morning. Thanks for the info though. <hugs>

As glad as I am to be getting a job I'm really nervous about moving the room I'm suppose to have is covered in filth and much smaller than I remembered. Though the thing that set off bells for me the most is finding out how often my aunt drinks, I don't know what she's drink but she calls the amount in forms of shots so I'm guessing it's on the stronger side and claims she needs to drink every time she gets up in order to help her sleep. That coupled with some (as in two) instances of violence with her that I have heard about I am a little worried about this, maybe I shouldn't be but I am.

I'm hoping I can save up some pretty quickly and get an apartment that's right behind the job I'm hoping to get from what I've been told it's about $500 a month for the apartments by the casino.
