I've had to git gud at carrying but trying to control an objective as Tracer or Reaper and clear the enemy's defences because the four useless Genjis on your team keep getting slaughtered and won't change heroes gets pretty tiresome.

Hmm, I haven't still bought Overwatch myself, bit too expensive for me at the moment for amount of content it gives. Probably going to get it for PC when price drops a bit.

 

During open beta my mains were Symmetra and Lucio, Symmetra for defense and Lucio for attack. I have problem with Symmetra in the game though and it's her class, support. She's only support that can't heal and I can't quite understand why she's listed as support. To me she is much more defensive hero with her turrents. When I'm playing with her I'm trying to make traps and kill people, not follow other around and support them, I just feel like she's assigned in wrong role ^^;

Er, is there something new I'm not seeing? There are the same threads that have been around for a while. Other than the final closing of the Mae thread, I haven't observed anything out of the ordinary.

 

And that one poster seems to have invaded that Solas thread, so I'll be avoiding that for a while. I'm not a huge Solas fan or anything, but there has been a fair bit of interesting discussion in the thread.

Minor vent, but I feel like it's impossible to ask "what sort of character should I play?" about any Realms-based video game without being bombarded with min-maxing powergaming craaaap. I know it's D&D. I know stats are everything. But I just want to know what makes for an interesting story. /sobs

Obviously not. These days it seems like the main focus of discussion is to put one developer on a pedestal and trash the others that ones was considered to sit on the same throne. To be completely honest, it is getting old, and it is actually making me dislike CDRP and The Witcher 3 a bit.

 

Every time i tell someone i like it, but i don't love it they start this lecture like i am wrong or something, same with Game of Thrones or anything else i am supposed to love (Like everything Disney). Sorry, but i don't worship anything, and with the either you love it or hate it culture, it can be hard to get by.

Obviously it's ok to discuss weaknesses and point at good executions of ideas, but not in a "X sucks and will never be as good as Y" way. People cannot seem to grasp that If someone wants more games like those from Bethesda or CDPR then they should buy more games from that developer, not wish for everyone to transform into them. I don't want Dishonored or the Wolf Among Us to play like BW games, and I definitely don't want DA to turn into Witcher. If every game was like W3 and every show like GoT, people would be bored to death by them.

 

But CDPR will mess up at one point, and the bulk of those hyper fans will turn on them. I keep thinking about Rebecca Sugar (creator of Steven Universe) and how on tumblr she went from being worshiped to loathed in an instant. People can't seem to remember what "nuance" means.

More likely these "hyper fans" will come up with some way to justify to themselves why the game is actually a masterpiece.  Same thing happened with DA2 and ME3.

 

Also, what'd that creator do to earn Tumblr's ire?  Had the gall to be straight and white?

Different segment of fans. The faithful will stay, but a lot of people will move onto another new darling developer and spit every time CPDR is mentioned. All it might take are, for example, smaller (paid) DLCs for Cyberpunk. People would lose their ****.

 

I think someone dug up an x-rated picture with some cartoon characters she made a long time ago and people instantly started scanning her entire life for something to criticise. 

(also, your snark is a little undermined by the website you're posting it on; both BSN and tumblr enjoy their fair share of completely idiotic posts)

*shrug* maybe, however given CDPR's attitude to DLC in general, I'd count on something else causing their downfall.  Hell my favorite game company has nickle and dime'd more than anyone sans EA but that doesn't bug me, when they start making bad games, then I'll get upset.

I think it would be enough for them to go against, what they said earlier ("only expansions will be paid"), for a lot of people to flip out. But it could be any number of things. Point is, the overreaction will reach ridiculous proportions.

 

Tumblr is weird like that, having both people, who draw and post r34, and those, who'd start riots over it.

It is a bit of a hellhole, which is why I avoid most parts of it. Unless some post really drives me nuts, I don't really see a point in responding to some of the crap here, because for me it's just draining.

 

I just saw someone take apart the concept art for the Mako and explain, why MEA will be terrible. I'll definitely stay away from the MEA board for a few months, so I can enjoy the game, without this place ruining it for me.

At least that's what I heard, and that the r34 pic Rebecca Sugar drew was dug up some time after that and used to justify calling her a pedo or something.

Minor vent before work, I need to get more money in soon I'm running out of stuff to eat. Half the kitchen appliances don't work in this house and getting lightly ragged on and getting burned out on frozen dinners is happening pretty quickly. Anyone know of any kind of okay food for a quick meal that doesn't need a stove or oven or utensils? Dishwasher doesn't work either which isn't a big deal what is though is that there are just soggy rags lying all over the place and the thing I'm fairly sure is clean to clean dishes with is no where to be found.

Yeah, you're right. If I remember correctly there were also complaints about genderbending. The whole thing was a mess.

Depends on what you like to eat. In the summer I usually go with salads. Quick to make, healthy, and tasty if you mix up vegetables that you like. And I look up recipes in cooking apps, so I won't end up doing the same thing over and over again.

BSN at least has mods and rules- even if not always that good, still better than anything. Tumblr lacks those. You have to be very careful what you say and post around there especially if you don't have thick skin, who knows what can start another "calling out/education campaign". It has good sides, but community is most toxic I have seen.
