Minor rant. Working graveyard sucks more than i thought, not because I can't handle the hours (they suit me fine actually) but because no one else in this house gives a damn if they wake you up all day. Constant yelling today by the same person who demanded everyone else quite down because someone laughed too loudly for them. Probably exaggerating the time but it felt like it went on for at least two hours of people yelling at each other because they didn't want to leave where they were to talk to one another in a ******* normal tone of voice.

@natashina I read an article today about police presence at Pride events and there was a quote from the director of the Matthew Shepard foundation. They explained in the article who he was and what happened to him. He hasn't been forgotten and never will be, thought you might want to know about it.

Not a vent but I'm looking forward to this weekend I'm working at our Pride event and hopefully will have plenty of free time.

This is both a vent and a PSA.

I don't get really flaming mad about many things, but various scams that take advantage of people, whether it be the elderly (their naivete), the sick (their desperation), or simply the kindhearted and generous (after disasters or tragedies) make me SO ENRAGED that I can barely see to type properly.

With that out of the way, be wary of charity scams that are taking advantage of the Orlando shooting. The IRS has issued a warning about it and they have a tool that you can use to check out various organizations.

These types of things happen in the wake of every tragedy or disaster, false charities that prey on the generosity of people that want to help in some manner. As on all other occasions, research before you donate!

So I heard. Where?

Never mind. I spotted him.

Minor vent: Wilbur has a round cell mass on his back left leg that's going to be surgically removed in the morning. It's about the size of a button and growing slowly. The surgery is not going to be cheap either. I just hope the poor thing can get by with only a cast.

Wow, that's awful. It sounds like your friend seems serious mental help. I thought it was bad enough when my ex-friend's girlfriend dumped him, and he was angry and upset about it for a year and a half. The whole time, talking (exclusively) about how she had ruined his life and how he should track her down (to another country) and convince her to take him back. At least he was never violent, as far as I'm aware. I dread to think what might have happened with those girls if you hadn't been around to stop him.

Wow. I'm sorry you had to live such awful thing. It's really terrible when people behave that way.

Well, I surely didn't suspect that my friend could be that unstable, believe me. He never showed violence or such irrationality before. Never. I think sometime love can affect people, even the most normal in a weird way.  He showed a dark side that no one expected among our friends, he has always been like a peaceful grumpy bear. What surprises me most is how he overreacted compared to how it was expected their relationship would end one day. There were already some signs that it wasn't alright between him and his girlfiend. I didn't think he would be that upset, on the opposite.

I advised him to take care of his girlfriend, he didn't listen, I advised him to go more outside with her, he didn't listen. I warned him that she seemed unhappy, he dismissed my worries. And once they started to have arguments about their way of life, he chose the path of anger when I advised him to listen to her concerns and make some compromises. He never listened to my advices. And when finally she wanted to break up with him, I told him, " let her go, don't beg, don't try to run after her, let her some time and try after to take her back with a proper strategy, " he was determined to cry like a baby boy. Which is what again I don't understand, the outcome is just following the logic, he should have suspected it could happen between us, but for an unknown reason, no. That's what is puzzling everyone. It worked so badly at one point in their couple that they attracted the attention of all their friends.

He destroyed everything now, he destroyed any credibility, and it's definitive. Honestly, I'm going to be objective, he doesn't deserve her. He isn't good enough for her. I kept that for myself as well. I'm not even sure why i tried to help him, maybe I just wished them to be happier since they are both my friends. But he will never be able to make her happy. And I want people to be happy in their life. She made the right call. ( an opinion that of course I keep for myself ;)  )

Now everything is better. He finally accepted the harsh reality. I think the fact that all his friends ( female and male ) were harsh with him and no one seemed sympathetic to his cause this time made him realize how much he was ridiculous and stupid. We told him to grow up, to man up, to grow some pairs. He definitely stopped crying and finally decided to let her go.  :) He is still suffering, but like any normal person, and like any normal person, he can only deal with it. He doesn't want to hear anything anymore about her, which is a real improvement. Maybe in a few months they'll become friends again. Only time will heal the wound.

I personally never found her attractive, but I do see how she is to others. Going to such lengths to claim she's a man because of her jaw though? Dude needs a new hobby. Ah, it was almost like back in the days when I'd hunt the Feedback and Suggestion forums just to read similar ****.

Wow. I reported that other thread and within 5 mins it was gone.

It's in the redesigned asari thread in the MEA section, though it's settled down for now.

Part of "why do people say Asaris keep redesigned?" thread and then there was other complaining about Bioware. I think most posts were deleted already though. It's pretty likely that it was just alt for Not-Brevnau ^^;

Are we sure that Tinfoil Fedora is Not-Brevnau?

I mean, I know he was the other guy, because his posting style? The way he peppers his posts with questions? Is very distinctive. That, and the general lunacy, plus the accusation that every single person who disagrees with him (every single person, in other words) is an astroturfing Bioware employee.

I seem to remember not-Brev being less excitable.

That thread is entertaining nonetheless. I'm on page 3, and it's already a fun mix of 'BSN is a hug box' and 'THE JAWWWWWWW'

Edit:

Ummm ¿what?

Why is there such a huge obsession with the jawline?!?! It's just absurd.

Although... I will admit that I think both Cassandra and Morrigan are more attractive in their final in-game iteration than they were in the initial E3 trailer where we first saw them. But even with that, I never thought either of them looked "manly."

The mind, it boggles.

Here's a jaw for ya...

Bioware showed too little content with the trailer. Not much to discuss. It will be difficult for the forum to survive stupid threads for months.

I almost stopped reading the Mass effect forum to be honest. Unlike many folks, those threads don't appeal to me at all... arguing about Asari eyebrows, their redesign, how Cassandra is supposed to look like a man. I don't go on the bsn to reach such stupidity and to read such uninteresting topics.

This isn't really a complaint but can we take a moment to appreciate how UNGODLY GORGEOUS Morrigan's DAI concept art outfits are? It annoys the crap out of me that her wardrobe has not changed at all in a decade.

Like, I get that it's a video game and things are kinda static, but Leliana wears a new outfit, Alistair's in GW armor... LOOK AT WHAT COULD HAVE BEEEEEEEN. SHE LOOKS LIKE SHE COULD EAT A MAN FOR BREAKFAST. OR EVEN A BEAR. pls step on me

Then again, I've never cared for her default look. I loved what she was wearing in the Sacred Ashes trailer, though. Omg look at her... the original waifu. /sobs

Uhhhh......... sorry for the tangent. I'm replaying DAO and am awash in witch feels.

Those concept arts are AMAZING and certainly more weather appropriate!

If you're on PC, I recommend the morrigan ashes inspired robe mod. I know there are several Sacred Ashes mods out there, but I think this one is the most accurate.

TIL that Nathan Drake, Chris Redfield, Joel from The Last of Us, and all of the AC guys are not conventionally attractive. In fact, they are super ugly, unlike Thane who is gorgeous and Solas, who is "like...an elite supermodel god." This opinion is shared by either all women or all of those attracted to men.

That thread manages to be both amusing and headache inducing.

Like I've said before, shortly before and up to 5 months after MEA launches, I'm not going anywhere near the MEA board. If anything, with more information the topics will become even more stupid. There are of course people here I'd want to discuss the game with, but a lot of the posters take away from my enjoyment of the games, and that obviously is not, why I'm here.

Poor Wilbur just had to have surgery to get rid of a round cell tumor that was on the back of his left leg. It was right on the joint too. Things went just fine, but now I have a stoned whining puppy on my hands that keeps trying to chew on the bandages on his leg. He's in a cone too and is still able to reach it. He's got meds to keep him mellow, but it's going to be a long couple of weeks. I don't want to talk about the cost either. :(

I'm still going to be working on the post when I can, but in the meantime I've got to keep an eye on both Vivi and Willie.

Cassandra and Aveline are two of the most beautiful females Bioware has created. It's a shame that people are calling them "man-like."

I LOVE THAT MOD, and I've seen it appear on YouTube. But I'm embarrassed to admit I've never used mods and have no idea how to.

@Biotic Thank you. He's healing well, but he's not a happy pup.

It's that jaw. Seriously, I heard the same complaints about Ave as I did about Cass. Personally, I don't see it. Aveline looks at lot like my sister-in-law and Cass is just gorgeous. I adore how they got rid of all that black makeup on her. Didn't suit the character.

Then again, maybe I'm bias. Cass is my favorite friendship for a Lady Quizzy. My dwarf got along smashingly well with Cass. And my dwarf was an agnostic. :P
