My bad I wasn't very clear on what I meant when I posted that first one^^;

No worries, I'm on track now I think :) I haven't done any role-playing -- other than CRPGs -- since my dungeons and dragons days

Spoiler
so I dunno how it all works, but I guess you're doing things the best way? I mean, this way you're kinda ready for whatever happens?

Usually I'm pretty easy when it comes to rps with other people a few things aside (Like that rant I posted earlier about that utterly lore breaking over powered character I ran across) I just like to prepare for if I need to modify a character for something. For example I've made a Supernatural character a few months back and originally wrote them as non human but left their backstory to where if someone says 'nah this can't work for me' I can change them to a human character and for the most part their backstory will still fit them. I suppose I try way too hard to be accommodating and nicey nice with others when it comes to rps but tis how I am. I try pretty hard to make my characters lore friendly and user friendly I guess is the best way to put it?

I apologize for my babbling on the matter^^;

Not babbling... explaining ;) For a guy like me, the more explanation the better.

I guess if you're playing these RPs to have fun and get some enjoyment out of it, then it's easier to be accommodating so that you don't spend time not enjoying it, and you can't depend on other people to be as accommodating all the time, unfortunately.

A bad partner can spoil the fun quite quickly and really affect how you feel about the whole thing for sure. Like i know it's really silly and not fair but I'm pretty leery about rping with guys on account of three or four of some of the worst partners I've rped with have been male. It really does help to be flexible and communicative with those otherwise you can get a pretty bad time. I'm still working on that communicating part :lol:

A good partner or partners is important to any creative endeavor. Hell, it's the same kinda thing when you're in a MP with people you don't know. If you're not compatible with them, or they with each other, then it's a just a case of 'get me out of this group as quick as possible"

EDIT: Uhh, guess it makes more sense to say "not compatible" there :whistle:

Guess I got my wish about Bioware confirming the next PC for DA4, but it's not working :(

Is this about the GDC presentation? Or was there some other, more concrete information? While I agree that the GDC slides were telling, it's still not definitive and I dislike making assumptions generally.

Oh god, I'm not even going to click on that Dorian thread.

This will not end well.

Hnnn. Suppose I shouldn't worry then. I just groan when I see threads about characters I like that aren't 1) their actual fan threads or 2) asking a specific question, because uuuuusually what happens is folks start guzzling the Haterade and ranting about how ******-poor the character is and ain't nobody got time for that. It's not Dorian-specific. Bull gets it, and Sera, and Blackwall, and... *cough*

Which, to each their own! I'm just not gonna click it.

Glad I came here first. I won't bother. Some negativity has crept into the actual Dorian thread as well, but that is a more natural expressing of dissatisfaction with the romance. I don't happen to agree with the sentiments, but everyone is entitled to view the character and the romance from their perspective.

Yeah, I ventured into the aforementioned thread and it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought. The BSN's making me cynical. :lol:

Still, I'd rather focus on the happeh than the eugh.

I know what you mean. Sarcastic Hawke is one of my favorite things about DA2. They aren't even my default Hawke, and I'm fully aware that they have flaws, but it's depressing when people oversimplify those flaws into the primary characteristics of the personality.

I more meant how Purple Hawke uses more than just sarcasm, and that sarcasm is typically a positive form of humor rather than a negative one. But that as well.

On Saturday my husband cooked corned beef brisket for dinner. That usually lasts about 4 days in the fridge without any issues. We've had it several times before and finish off the leftovers within that time.

Welp, my husband woke up and is currently showing all the signs of food poisoning. The last thing he ate was 7 hours before, and it was that brisket. Before he woke up, I ate a small piece of the brisket myself about 5 hours ago. I'm starting to feel sick and getting worse.

We have only one bathroom. This could be a very long night.

Be brave, soldier. You have my sympathy! I'd, uh, offer my bathroom if it wasn't... you know... attached to my residence.

:lol: That's oddly sweet of you.

Sorry for grumbling, but it's the first time in over a decade that I've had food poisoning. I'll get through it. On the plus side, I did pick perfect timing to cut way back on my coffee consumption. I've only had a cup of coffee today, so that's one less thing that'll upset my gut.

Life's about the silver lining. It has to be, otherwise I'd go completely crazy. :P

First time I've ever heard of lack of coffee being a silver lining :) ... though I get it. Hope you both recover quickly!

Thanks for that. :)

My doctor recommended backing off the coffee to help with my gut issues, so I followed his advice. I was living off it too much anyhow. I've also cut back on soda too, since the carmel color and the carbonation was also aggravating things.

Thank Donk. :) We'll get through it, we'll just be very cautious about leftovers in the future. We try not to have many, so it encourages us to cook more often.

I understand, I gave up drinking soda a few years ago. Don't miss it now, but I can't give up coffee yet ... or even cut back very much.

Wow, not sure i could give up coffe. Soda i managed to cut out, had a huge addiction to Coca Cola. Coffe is something else though, its love, its liquid crack. I admire you for backing off though, wish i could do the same.

Ugh, this sodding Magekiller comic is SO damn BORING, FFS. Even a cameo by Dorian could not save the current issue. Of course, it doesn't help that I think he was drawn poorly, but that's another issue.

I wish we'd get another book. The last few were actually really entertaining and plot-relevant.

Being accused of trying to get out of work and being talked down to really sucks. I got a weird thing about dishes I can not touch anyone else's wet dishes without gagging horribly I know it doesn't make any sense but it's something that makes me ill to my stomach almost right away. My grandmother has known about this for years and yet she still accuses me of being lazy and full of sh*t and even calling me both stupid and full of sh*t. That does not ever get less annoying no matter how many times it happens which is all the damn time. Even more so when I've told her several times I'll do the dishes but she has to get some thick rubber gloves first for me. Gonna stop now before I go into a huge long winded rant about her attitude in general.
