Trying out the Talon Merc, 60666 melee build. Eric's description of damage is a little confusing.

 

Arrows deliver the melee damage plus the arrow charge damage. I get 750 HM and 223 charge damage, with 6 arrows per shot.

 

So, is that 750 + 6x223 or 6x750 plus 6x223?  The first is 2088 per shot, the second is 5836 per shot. In game, it feels like 2088 is more like it. 

 

But with light melee, it would seem the LM 250 damage would need to be with each arrow, because the spread is so wide. 

 

Does anyone know? Thanks.

Its a lot less than spamming a few Cain mines, so don't bother with the lousy arrows. Troll your team with what's in essence a legal missile glitch like a real ME3MPro.

Here are all the best tips I can give you for using the talon merc:

 

1: Skip fitness.  We all know as soon as anything even looks in his general direction that he is going to die.  0 points in fitness.

 

2: Skip concussive arrows. Come on, who here is actually a concussive arrow enthusiast? 0 points in concussive arrows.

 

3. Skip the passives. You either go all power damage or nothing at all. 0 points in passives.

 

4. Skip the armor piercing arrows.  They are fun to shoot at scions & brutes..past them, I forget to even hit that button. 0 points in armor piercing arrows.

 

5. Skip the cain mines. Nobody likes a spammer. Unless you are getting kill streaks with every deployment of 1 cain mine..you are just another annoying teammate. 0 points in cain mines.

 

As for gear / consumables / weapons...you can pick what you want..but I leave all of them empty...It's my preferred play style with the talon merc.

 

Let's sum it up here...what I see is a 0/0/0/0/0 build.  perfect.
