The new OP items are only OP when you have them, of course. In my current game I haven't seen any of them so far except for Andraste's Sacrifice, which I've never liked all that much. Well, I also got a basic Amulet of Barrier as a Trials reward, but as far as I can tell it doesn't do anything

I found the superior amulet of evasion better than the amulet of barrier. It just doesn't generate enough barrier to absorb a good amount of damage. The superior version does pretty good but that's towards the end of trespasser which blows
