No.... That would be stupid.
The Grey wardens can have sex?

If a mere touch could spread the taint the entire premise of this franchise would be stupid, because how can non GW armies even fight darkspawn if they can' even touch them.
So the people of Thedas invented this really cool thing called "swords", so they don't actually have to punch people to death, including darkspawn. Really neat feature.
On a more serious note:
.... Yes. That is exactly why stopping the Blight other than killing the archdemon is impossible and that is why Grey Wardens are needed. Duh.

Don't forget the hoo-ers at the Pearl.
I had. But I wouldn't have mentioned them for the same reason I didn't mention Cammen or Ghenya: we don't stick around them long enough to know whether they got sick.
Edit: Oh, maybe I should mention Amadis Vael. My understanding is that she had sex with Garahel and didn't get sick.

The main problem is a darkspawn bleeding on someone. A sword won't stop that.

This also seems to be true of half the other people in the book. That Garehel got around. (Such a **** that he somehow managed to have sex with a Qunari hundreds of years before they arrived in Thedas!)

And he didn't cause a Blight epidemic to rival the Blight itself? If not, I think we can declare this question answered and ask that the thread be locked.

I'm pretty sure she dies anyway, since Howe's men slaughtered everyone...

Well yeah, duh, but the OP was argueing that the darkspawn transferring the taint via touch suddenly makes it impossible for a non-GW to fight darkspawn, while they don't even have to touch the darkspawn to fight at all.

they still need to put their feet on the lands the darkspawn touch and such lands are corrupted, didn't you even see how many were killed in Amranthine just because of the side effects of their taint?

In this case, I don't think there is. Don't you end up seeing her orphaned daughter in the Denerim Alienage no matter what?

Well maybe the mother didn't had the chance to reach Denerim alienage because it was closed to everyone due to loghain and Howe that's it!
Except that you don't sneak through the blockade or anything. You get in because the Alienage was opened back up. By the time you can see Amethyne, her mother could credibly be able to do so if she's alive.
That, and the fact that Howe's plan seems to require that there be no witnesses, means you're really clutching at straws. (Not that that's unprecedented for you, what with the Broodmother thing and all.)

After Howe's death it is open to all, and yet Amethyne still says that her mother hasn't come back.
That proves she didn't make it out of Highever.
Duncan, the human noble, and Dog only made it out because they used the secret passage, and even then they had to fight their way out because the castle was surrounded.
But I do hope that Amethyne is a party companion in the next game. A stealthy assassin elf woman who takes revenge on Tevinter for enslaving her people. Could play well into the whole theme of if the human world should be destroyed or not. Based on your interactions with her she will either be loyal to the party or side with Solas in the end.

It was only closed off to humans before Howe's death. If Iona had returned to the alienage before Howe's death, then she would have been allowed in, as that is where she lived.

That proof nothing, because the timespan between Howe's death and the defeat of the Archdemon is very slim you don't get to spend months in the alienage. Why do you think that they would have allowed her to enter the quarantine zone? There are several elves in the district of Denerim and those who are outside are not allowed to enter inside. The secret passage was useful only to those who were inside the castle,Highever isn't just a castle and Howe didn't killed all the inhabitants(20000) of the Teyrn he attached only the castle to gain control. In short oyu don't even know if she or Dairren were at the castle if you don't bed them.
As much as I hate to admit it, you have a point. Ladies in waiting do have a strange tendency to sleep in town while their mistresses are in the castle. And there's no reason at all the guest's son would be in the castle.

There's no reason to not believe that Howe men left Iona alive for their own reasons.....
now it's more sinister if it is shady enough is more credible for Bsn..
Their fate is so ambiguous that the writers can literally do (provided that they even care) what they did to Sten without using retcon like the Leliana-Oghren situation

Lyrium and archdemon blood are just a way to treat the darkspawn blood in order to improve it's potency but they are not necessary especially the archdemon blood which is a rare ingredient used only if available.
Source?
Because this contradicted by the lore. I.E. not being able to make more Wardens without Archdemon blood. Or you know, just to basic "not being consumed by the song of the Old Gods".
