I personally wish EDI had never become a squadmate in ME3. I like her much more as a ship-based, remote-controlling AI in ME2 (though I understand if you disagree).
Plus:
I really hope that AI isn't a heavily featured thing in ME post ME3...for obvious reasons the galactic community should realize that, that avenue of tech is best ignored.
VI's can do a AI's job just as well for the most part anyway.
I'm with you Phoenix!! I want my own personal AI! A sexy manly voice ![]()
...because who doesn't want one?
.......
Seriously the current Biower staff has proven they can't approach this subject without hamfisted allegories to slavery and pinnochiofication, so I'd rather they just don't do it at all.
They will, though, and it'll be just as cringeworthy as the sexbot and Legion the Real Boy were.

I don't like you anymore.
That said, I hope a Geth party member is included from the beginning of the game to help make up for the grave sin of Legion getting so little time in ME2 and ME3. They would be perfect as a resource of knowledge to set up the world state as well.
Here's to be best part of the ME1-3 universe.

Care to elaborate? I thought EDI was really good in ME2 (but not in ME3).
We need an AI that just doesn't give a ****.
Agreed on preferring EDI as the ship's AI instead of ME3' tell me moar about this thing you call love plox. Go away, go away now.

Spoiler
I quite liked the ME2 Legion for the most part, but in the next game the writer changed and the character wasn't anything alike. Same goes for EDI to a lesser extent (I suspect it was always headed where it ended up anyway).
Not unless it's a Geth.

Well now I have to admit the whole "Does this unit have a soul?" was a bit much. Your post might suck, but its also right in a way. I can't argue with you. I guess its uncharted territory at the end of the day. Legion will always be my favorite though. Doing that robot trash talk while he blew faces off with the Widow? That's my buddy. Mordin grew on me. I love Grunt. I love Wrex. Love Javik. Garrus is a good friend. I'm still Shepard-Commander though.

I admit the space robot communist thing kinda of was interesting but...as you said ME3 butchered what little interest I had.

Like Javik? You know what he wants to do to your brobot, right?

I liked the concept, yeah, but the ME3 geth aren't geth at all anymore. They're just typical talking toasters.

You never pick the right side. Qunari hater over here too. Not that it matters after the latest (and my last) game ![]()

Good memory. Yeah, I wasn't a fan of that, but there comes a time when you respect two "people", yet they have a problem with each other.....they just have to work it out and see who wins while you have to keep it going.
I think Legion could take him.

Hey, I dislike both sides.

I dunno, I mean, Drone and Sabotage are nice (I should know, I use the same), but Javik's got DC and a bunch of Do you even Lift Grenades.
I mean, how do you kill a guy who doesn't even need oxygen in a vaccum?
Yeah, a ship-based AI would be pretty great, as long as it stays ship-based. I had no problem with EDI uh...finding a body. But when I think about it, I preferred when she was just an AI aboard the Normandy. You see her in a whole different way when she has a psychical form.
Oh, and if there were to be an on-board AI in ME:A, it better have a cool personality. Not smart-ass, or condescending, or flat. Just something unique.
I really liked TARS from Intersteller despite what I felt about the movie. That was a pretty well written A.I
Or something devilish like old Glados from Portal.

EDI was cool in ME2 as she was the ship itself and had an even better relation with Joker before she made the unnecessary transition to sexbot.
Normally I would say it would be difficult since the Citadel Council condemned the creation of AI after what the geth did to the Quarians and the ark project would likely be following the same galactic laws. But AIs might just show up because BioWare.

Cool? Steve McQueen AI installed primarily on your ship, with remote presence on the Mako and possibly your hardsuit computer.
Or maybe a John Wayne-type to keep with the western theme. ![]()
I hope there's an AI on the ark ship, which helped manage the trip to Andromeda, rather than one on the Protagonist's frigate etc.
I didn't have any particular problem with the notion of EDI getting an avatar as a concept.

It's about what people are made of. Javik...while bad ass.....runs his mouth too much. You can see him for what he really is. It's like real life. That cocky guy who wants you to know how bad ass and tough he is. He wants to show off, he wants to feel like hes something and he "wants" to fight and scare people while inside hes nervous and hopes he doesn't pick that one guy who decides to call him on his bs. He talks a lot, but he bleeds too and hes just as frail as everyone else.
Javik gives some respect like when he "senses" Grunt and says he would have given him a wide berth. For the most part hes just elitist and thinks everyone is beneath him. It doesn't matter how much you talk and how many drones and dark channels you throw. ALL things big and small know their master. They ALL bow down.
