I've no interest in playing The Witcher so its not a problem.
I know I sometimes sound rude in my posts but I didn't mean to offend. It's because I'm not so good at wording myself in English. I guess we're just different people with different tastes and opinions xD
I really don't like it when I turn down a potential LI's romance advances at the 'lock-in' point, and then can no longer talk with them.
Devs, PLEASE - Let the friendship dialogs continue all the way to the end of the game! Perhaps the romance will rekindle in the next game after our friendship has evolved further.
I view romance from the woman's (my) perspective. I like seeing a blossoming couple hold hands at times, steal a hug and a kiss when no one else is looking, and privately share an 'empathy moment'. I'm not a voyeur so it's fine with me if there isn't a nude scene, but if there is one I'd like to see one that is a beautiful and emotional scene (ME-1), and not 'jump sex' like in ME-2. Let there be an option to have a more developed scene that is soft, tender, quiet, mood music and candle light, humor, and talking about the future together scene, etc. If there is rough sex involved, I'd like those scenes to be designed for the Renegade roles only. Make the romance scenes appropriate for both character's true personalities and types. I know this requires more development work, time, and expenses (and will drive hard-core gamers howling in disgust), but I'd enjoy it. This would allow for two different types romance scenes: one for the Paragon and a different one for the Renegade protagonists, which adds to alternate role-playing options. Surely in Andromeda there are some lakes for the couple go skinny dipping and have some fun along with the intimacy. It might help the ME:A Devs to hire the Hallmark Channel's romance writers! (My favorite movies). Perhaps there could be a DLC 'romance pack' release that allows us to add these romance options into the main story, just like DLC packs that add weapon options to the story, for those of us who want more story development. At least then, those who don't care about romance plots can simply avoid installing the 'romance pack'. Just an idea. I'd be willing to pay $5 USD to add a DLC romance pack to enhance the main game. Perhaps interrupts can be used to add a brief romance development scene here and there when the couple is speaking together.
I agree that it's (sometimes) too routine for the romance consummation to always occur right before the final battle, though they should be together at that time even if it is not for a sexual encounter. I'm a romance story fan and enjoy watching scenes where the two people have conversations that build up the growing friendship, tension, and the deepening love they have for each other. Ashley's scene with MaleShep at Apollo's Cafe in ME-3, and their talking together at the memorial wall for her sister's husband, were terrific story elements to do just this. I hope we'll see more of these kinds of LI story moments in Andromeda.

Im a die hard ME fan and in all honesty i can wholeheartedly agree with you, most of the scenes from ME 2 on wards were literally a case of getting laid, besides the Garrus and Tali scenes from both games where there was a feeling of romance and emotional connection between the characters even though Tali does pretty much leap on Shep but thats beside the point... plus Tali's scene in the Citadel DLC was much more like this where they literally sat down started talking and hugging and then watched a movie that Tali loved without the need for sex or anything which i freaking loved to bits and made me fall for the character a bit more than i maybe should have lol

Also, I don't know why I'm supposed to expect sex scenes because content is mature. If anything, bad attempts at being explicit make it seem like the game is aimed at teenage boys rather than being mature content (no offence to teenage boys) and I felt it let the Witcher games down a bit (along with the "collect the bitchez" thing in the first game).
