Oh, this reminds me.. and maybe it was shield bash related, since I use Stone-Breaker which has 10% chance of shield bash, but in Zone 5 the other day I went zooming up in the air and almost landed on the dragon. I thought I was going to get to ride it for a second.

I remember Wavebend was riding a frost dragon with his archer in one of his vids he posted here.
