I like to keep my fantasy and technology separate. I'd be very disappointed if anything resembling a gun made it into the DA series.

It's too late. Even aside from Bianca and the Sha-Brytol Lyrium smgs, we can see crank-operated machine gun ballistae in the Exalted Plains.

The question is how far Bioware can stretch this schizo future-tech before people start complaining about the preservation of their medieval fantasy. I think it's funny that something as relatively primative as gunpowder is the last straw when steam-powered thereshers and literal holograms exist.

Dragon Age isn't medieval fantasy though, it's high fantasy. And this isn't about anachronism. I don't really care what they do with gunpowder as long as it doesn't remotely resemble something that has become extremely common in our world (and overly common in other games).

I don't think that would really be a concern, regarding guns at least.
