I finally relented and let Microsoft update my rig to Windows 10. I'm having an issue with the toolset though:

When scaling and tinting some placables in an open area, the scaling doesn't take immediate effect in the toolset. If I save and close the area and reopen it, the placeable will be scaled and tinted properly. But that's a right pain in the butt to have to close and reopen an area to see the effect of resizing or tinting things.

Has anyone else experienced anything similar? I'm going to try running in compatibility mode to see if that fixes it. It's pretty annoying. Doesn't happen all the time, but frequently, and it never happened when I was running Windows 7.

I have experienced the same thing rather recently. Sometimes rescaling is immediate, sometimes you have to close and reopen the area. I haven't figured out any rule yet.

If I remember correctly, it was working ok before build 1511 and last Nvidia drivers. Is it related to 1511 or the last Nvidia drivers, I don't know.

I'm running the toolset in XP compability mode and as admin.

I switched over to admin and XP SP3 mode, and am still dealing with the issue.

Before upgrading to Windows 10, I never had this issue. Same computer, different OS. My guess is this is a video driver issue. I also have an NVidia.

The issue also occurs in Windows 8.1 with an NVidia card. I haven't found a consistent fix for it.

The same problem happens with tinting. If I need to do a lot of tinting, I switch back to my Windows 7 box.

Could it be related to Win 10/ Win 8 hibernation mode? I've noticed that things seem to go smoother after a real restart.

I haven't noticed any difference; the problem starts almost as soon as I enter the toolset following a boot.

The issue seems like a cache problem with the GPU, but fiddling with the settings hasn't helped.
