Did I miss some a bag announcement or a quiet one?

But this is from a BioWare editor. We assume she knows it's not coming out until 2017.
What gives?
Anyone know when the approximate release date is.
In other words. How long do I have to hold on to this tanking stock. Or how low should I let it tank before I buy more and hope to make some cash hoping presales can bolster a good quarter. That's about all that can help EA out. They seem to suck at everything else lately.
Even their P2P games in CG isn't bringing the revenue it was in HoDA as far as I can tell.
BioWare makes them Viable from time to time. They are a volatile stock...so when are you REALLY releasing your game.
I also PLAY all the BioWare games. Sure you make them cut corners and screw their writers and programmers, but they still produce a good product in spite of EA, though not as good as it could be IMHO.

I"m guessing we'll know for sure at EA Play. EA's got Battlefield and Titanfall headlining this fall, so it makes sense to push MEA a bit out of the way for those.

Funny, but indirect. Seriously. Was there a major date change. Most of th "official" looking stuff on the web isn't redacted. It still says "holiday 2016" and that's on EA sites.

It was based on the investors call that said that the game will be released in the fourth financial quarter of 2016 which is January to March 2017, but other then that there hasn't been any word and I wouldn't expect anything official until June to what the date will be.

It didn't. They said "Holiday 2016" back when they were estimating the release. The announcement was that MEA would be released in Q1 2017, which technically includes Holiday 2016. That's just how fiscal years work. Q1 of fiscal year 2017 is basically the last quarter of the calendar year for 2016.

The thing is when you specifically say 'Holiday' 2016,' that implies a time between October and December of the year. I'm pretty sure this is what threw people off. I personally knew better than to believe a vague teaser.

With EA at least they trail by three months so their financial fourth quarter is January to March, for they are talking about Mirrors Edge being a Q1 release and it is being released in May.

Mirror's Edge was originally slated for February 24--that's what they meant. It wasn't delayed until recently.

I read news this week saying MEA is officially reported to Q1 2017.... january, february or march. I think it will be march 2017
Not happy about it ... and having 3 more months won't change anything in the game development to me, especially when you see people from the team leaving one after another, which mean their work is totally done for good and since a while.
It's for commercial purpose : EA just don't want to sell all their games in the same time (battlefield first thenTitanfall then, too bad, MEA will be the last one).

Even then Q1 2017 is merely an estimated ship date - I'd be surprised if it "hits the shelves" before May/June.

Probably so it would have fewer bugs on release.
Just a guess.
