havn´t played Inquisition yet. I wonder how the ending was like?

I am aware this is a spoiler thread, could you still keep the answer with rather less spoiler? Mainly i have the following questions:

- Are there different endings?

- Is there a boss endfight? Is that mandatory?

- how did the ending(s) left you feeling?

Whats the best/worst thing of the ending?

- Are there different endings?

Epilogue slides that talks about some of your choices made and their result during the course of the game.

- Is there a boss endfight? Is that mandatory?

Yes and yes.

- how did the ending(s) left you feeling?

It was okay, I enjoyed the epoligue slides. No special cutscenes other than one sequel bait/cliff hanger that happens in every ending.

I recommend getting Tresspasser though, it takes place after the ending. It also touches a little on the cliff hanger/sequel bait and sets up the story for the next game.

... Why do you want to know what the ending is like if you don't actually want to know what the ending is like?

Anyway, it depends. There's the ending to the main game, and there's the ending to the Trespasser DLC - it's an epilogue that takes place after the end of the main game. Trespasser is the best piece of content Bioware has ever produced!

There's the main game, and then there's the Trespasser DLC, which happens two years later.

The main game concludes with a mandatory bossfight -- or maybe I should say two. And then something similar to DA:O, with a celebration gathering and then some slides telling about the worldstate, which depend on your choices through the game. And then it ends with a final cutscene, which can range from interesting to outright shocking depending on how closely you've been paying attention. I thought it was OK, though not great.bExceot for the final cutscene, which was great.

Trespasser has a big mandatory bossfight fight before the ending, although narratively it's just an obstacle. Something like the ME3 missile battery defense fight, since killing those Brutes and so forth was necessary but not important in itself. The real conclusion of the game is through dialogue, including a couple of big choices, although I'm not sure one of them isn't just for RP. More slides, although these are more focused on the advisers and companions, and then a cutscene that sets up the PC's future and, presumably, the sequel.

I thought this was very well handled, although you should be aware that the ending isn't an unalloyed triumph for the Inquisitor. Also note that two or three of the romance tracks may come to fairly tragic ends.

Whats the best/worst thing of the ending?

-Yes, though mainly through slides

-Yes, but the fight's not hard if you are level appropriate.  Which is not difficult to achieve

-Pretty satisfied.  There's a sense of accomplishment with a hook for the next game

The best and worst thing is the same thing, the endings are safe.  Compared to ME3's "artistic" ending.  There's not much to complain about, but it doesn't try to take any chances.

The Trespasser DLC has it's own ending, with its own slides, it's own boss fight, and an endings that's a bit more...daring.  But one I still liked.

The end boss fight was too easy. But it was a happy ending, all the same.

The ending had me in tears. I cried for days under my quilt and couldn't find the strength to get up and face life. I found it soooo emotional but it could just be me as I'm a very sensitive and delicate boy.

There is only one ending but there are different epilogue slides

Yes there is a mandatory boss fight

The vanilla ending was happy, conclusive, and generic (the Trespasser DLC undoes all of this)

I will admit to some mixed feelings about the ending of Trespasser. I loved the moments with all of the characters in Trespasser, but the story in the DLC became a bit strange, to tell you the truth. A surprise at the end and a non negotiable development to the Inquisitor that is unavoidable. The last 2 areas felt rushed, and by the time you get to the actual ending it feels like a little bit of a letdown, especially with the Inquisitor being changed forever. And this was done so fast I'm not sure who did the actual, er, cut if you will.

The story went from this major outcome to the council scene in order to decide the fate of the Inquisition and it all felt much too fast. Otherwise Trespasser ties up everything else pretty well.

Yeah, it's nothing like the ME3 endings. The main game's ending is alright, albeit nothing groundbreaking save for the post-credits scene. Some people found it overly saccharine, however.

Said scene bleeds into the Trespasser DLC, which is post-epilogue and contains the ''true'' ending to Inquisition, a much better one if you ask me since it's bittersweet and gives the player a glimpse of things to come.

I'm thinking the story in Trespasser got strange enough (and rushed)  that I wonder if maybe it would make more sense if it was one of Solas' mind bending dream sequence things - like the time earlier in the game when you think you've returned to Haven after it's destroyed. Back then, while talking with Solas at Haven suddenly the Inq. woke back up in their own bed. Later Solas said he/she had very strong dreaming ability. I'm hoping that's what could explain why the story in Trespasser is so off compared to the rest of the main story. It would be very interesting if in a future game the Inq. wakes up with Trespasser having been a dream from Solas that gives them some future insight about things to come but certain permanent developments still haven't happened yet - that the Inq. might still be able to fight.

I think that would be one way they might fix the weird cliffhanger ending we got out of Trespasser.
