Good evening , I have purchased and installed the expansions of dragon age inquisition . when I start a new game , I can not select the expansions but starts the video of the original story . I have to finish the original story before I can play with expansions ? excuse my english

All DLCs are part of main game. You either need to reach certain point in the main story for them to become available (Jaws of Hakkon and The Descent) or finish main story (Trespasser). You can't start them from main menu or as a new game alone.

You can start the Jaws of Hakkon or The Descent DLC any time after you arrive at Skyhold, provided you have enough Power points. Note: Jaws of Hakkon is generally intended for high-level characters, and The Descent requires a lot of Power.

 

Trespasser is a different deal altogether. You can ONLY do it once you beat Corypheus, and once you start it, you cannot return to Skyhold. It's set two years after the main game. Completing Trespasser has to be the last thing you do, because you can't do anything afterwards.
