Wouldn't mind having a pet Asari.
Sounds familiar. I have two girlfriends... although I think in our relationship I'm the pet...
I'm surprised no one has mentioned this movie yet:

The nicest and cuddliest bunnies ever. You should watch it. Trust me. ![]()

9/10. Like game of Thrones, but with bunnies.
Like one of those little obnoxious dogs, that follows you around yapping?

I'm cool with it, if we can do this...

That's not nice.

But what if it has an adorable little face like this?

I've never seen it but I heard about the sadness, I've also never seen Animal Farm but I know about that too.
Animal Farm, while unforgettable, was a bit of a slog through for me.
Watership Down was just unbelievably page-turny. The amazon description calls it a blend of "poetic mysticism and austere realism." I think that's the best description I've heard. It's bizarre, ethereal...almost constantly terrifying.
In other words, my perfect story.
When I watched the film I was really impressed with how thoroughly they tackled the more horrific elements, but I struggled to endure the usual film adaption frustrations, "Oh, they shouldn't have changed that," "That was so much more compelling and frightening/heartwarming/fascinating," in the book.
Just my opinion, but I think everyone should read the book...then watch the movie right away.
I think what was really bad was promoting that movie to children. Yes, it runs on TV during the afternoon on Easter. For the kids, you know?

It doesn't sound like something that was not designed to be looked at by kids, I mean woopity do, there is fascism and allegories for all sorts of garbage that a liberal minded semi communist like Adams would spew at folks, I mean sure you need to be a adult or teen to understand the garbage frothing on to the pages, but it seems pretty childlike, at least by modern standards.

Woah. That's not good. That thing would have given me nightmares for years when I was a child.

You're american I presume? It's not about the politics or messages in the movie, it's about the violence. The bunnies kill each other graphically, with blood everywhere. Not exactly something kids should see... although it seems to be normal and okay for american TV. ![]()

I saw it as kid. Didn't get nightmares but yeah. Shocking and horrifying.

Your not American I presume, and you have my sympathies, I too used to not be American, but then things got better.
Also if you turn out to be Canadian or something I am going to just like put you on the ignore list because you MAY as well be American.

I watched Scarface when I was ten ._.
Apart from the chainsaw scene it was fine for ten year old me.

Ok, the bunnies definitelly diverts the attention from the underlying theme though the symbolism is still about three types of world views - socialism (warren), totalitarian (Efrafan) and democracy (Hazel).
So what does your fantasy pet dog/cat/whatever do in Andromeda? Funny sarcastic like Bugs Bunny, ol' Yeller and dies (an emotional gut-wrenching 'feels' moment), finds and opens crates, digs up bones, chases the mako, attack dog, warning dog, lap dog, mischief dog, talking dog, does tricks, flyball, all of the above, what?
If you make a suggestion, please do NOT go off the wall and be disgusting. Make a thoughtful suggestion (if you were the Andromeda story writer) that is plausible, not silly.
I want something similar to the dog from Gladiator as a companion:
...though it really wouldn't fit in with Mass Effect's lore or gameplay. That would probably be better for Dragon Age.
But but I currently own a bunny, they are all that
Such maintenance for one lil pet but I don't mind, the fluffiness, so cute.
Unfortunately I had to get rid of mine. Having that thing + a dog is a bad mix.

I also wouldn't mind a Pug...

I love pugs, even the MP ones but the dog version are better house-trained I reckon.
but gosh.. imagine all those bunny poop floating in space.....
