Let us talk about Dorian he is one of my favorite characters to. When you do his personal quests and after that when he pledged his life to you of becoming a true friend. And that he stands beside you no matter what i really believe him that is a touchy moment btw.

And then of course his party banter he is one of the funniest Companions when it comes to party banter him and Sera really funny. I did not have the pleasure yet that he is hooking up with The Iron Bull because that would be hilarious to i bet. I red something like that he left his undies in IB's tent.

And of course he has his flaws to. One of them is that he is to hung up with himself he finds himself way to good looking. And i bet he has more flaws but still i do like him a lot.

It is to bad that his friend Felix died during the game that was a good man to the way he talks about him i think i would really liked him as well.

Don't reply to this OP anymore i can read between the lines here it is a bad one anyway so you guys can relax now  ;)

Overrated and gets praise and applause when none of it is warranted, in most parts.

Romance starts off nice but ends up going downhill fast after the sex scene.

Insufferable fandom at times.

I'd say 3,5/5.

EDIT: Good friend though, and Iron Bull x Dorian is great.

I don't like much their romances but as a couple they're rather cool.

Great and interesting character, never had an Inquisitor who romanced him.

He is a great friend who tells interesting stories. Sadly his mage skills in Necromancy are useless for my play style.

Forced companion for IHW, which I don't like. Personal quest is bugged for CotJ'ers. Personal quest is a little too dramatic and too focused on his sexual preference. I think it could have been more family focused, and perhaps allowed the Inquisitor to talk about his own family. Other than that, decent fighter. Good banter. Relevant to the plot. Good to hear a non-biased perspective about Tevinter. The relationship banter with Iron Bull was off-putting, but I think that's mostly Bull's fault. A good friend all around.

I like Dorian. I hope we get to make him Archon in DA4 (I think he'd be a better fit for the Black Divine, but I don't think they'll let us pick a Divine two games in a row).

One thing that annoyed me about Dorian is he never deals with Tevinter slavery. He's constantly called out on it by Solas, Cassandra mentions it, and all we get is one conversation shortly after recruitment where he says he's never thought about it. Contrast this with Krem, who broaches slavery when talking about his father. Dorian, you need to start caring about slavery. More than that, you need to start DOING something about it.

What's Dorian supposed to do about slavery? Tevinter is built on it. Ending slavery would be like... I don't know, cutting a kingdom built on magic off from the Fade.

Imagine electing him into being the Archon (which I'm pretty sure is impossible, but this fandom seems hooked up on it).

Imagine the discourse of there being multiple candidates and Dorian turns out to be the most pro-slavery. BW forums and Tumblr would have a meltdown.

...ANYWAY, my canon Inquisitor romanced him. He's a delight, but I still don't know what he's trying to do with Tevinter when he seems generally OK with most of it. He mostly seems to complain about the underhanded, immoral political maneuvering than everything else that's blatantly wrong with Tevinter.

Dorian's easily one of my favorite characters in the game. I greatly enjoy the flirty friendship with a female Inquisitor.

Dorian: Am I speaking to quickly for you?

Inquisitor: <3 I was..distracted. That's all.

Dorian: Distracted? By my wit and charm? I have plenty of both.

Inquisitor: Today at least.

Dorian: Oh! You wound me!

Slavery's just one of many problems in the Imperium. After all, it's a metropolis filled with evil wizards that can use bloodmagic to control minds and assassinate their foes to gain or keep their station, and with so many benefiting so greatly on slavery, no doubt any attempt to deal with it directly would be extremely dangerous. Undoubtedly most magisters would gladly kill anyone trying to uproot their livelihoods. The Lucerni have their work cut out for them.

He feels like the default best friend character for the Inquisitor...kind of like the Garrus or Varric of DAI. I have a hard time not befriending him when I play.

I think he has the highest chance of having a cameo in the next game.

My only Dorian-related complaint is that I'm not a big fan of how the romance plays out in Trespasser.  I'm glad he's getting the chance to try to make his homeland a better place, but I still wish that he and my Inquisitor didn't have to do the long distance thing.

Also, from a storytelling standpoint, I'm kind of glad that he doesn't have a problem with slavery.  I don't think there's much of a reason for him to be against it really given that it's the way things have always been in Tevinter.  I wouldn't mind if he started to change his mind down the road after meeting people who disagree with the idea, but I was pleasantly surprised with the viewpoint he holds in the game.

Love this character!, the voice actor's performance is one of my all time favs. Just love the droll british humour, wit and irreverence. He along with Cass is a constant companion in all my playthrus. His interactions/banter with Varric and Sera are some of the best in game. I've never romanced him as I really like the romance between Iron Bull and Dorian. (that and I'm a shameless Cullenite).
