But people were saying it didn't make sense for Solas to refuse, even though it's a form a slavery and that's Solas' number one no-no.

Iron Bull Approves as does Vivienne if Quizzy takes the well, Varric is neutral, the rest don't like it but, you can negate Solas's and Sera's disapproval with the conversation when you get back to Skyhold.
As for who where
IYHSB Varric is a must just for that look he does at the trebuchet.
WEWH Vivienne if a mage inquisitor, otherwise anyone except Cole and Varric. Cassandra is cool for ther long winded introduction.
HLTA Blackwall if you lack the perks to spare wardens, otherwise Bull is funny in the Fade and, Vivienne if you don't like her, she gets a bit of a reaming in the fade.
WPHW No one has to come but I like having Cole on that one if I sided Teplar and, Solas if I sided mages.
DUATW Whomever but I usually choose a weaker party to make it more of a fight. usually all mage.
