People will always shift on different issues.. maybe a little liberal socially, but authoritarian on gun rights or wanting governments to control banks. But generally speaking, they have principles or a platform.

Exactly. Most people are politically ignorant and would rather jump behind their party's representative on every issue whether they know anything about it or not... The political system should be more involved and intelligent, but it's pretty much equivalent with sports where people side unequivocally with their party and look at anything that opposes that viewpoint as wrong.

Online political debates rarely turn out well... That being said, I'd have to agree with your points on who would be affiliated with what political party.Except I wouldn't tihnk Sera would be affiliated with a political party, especially one that wants the government to play a bigger role. The whole "top % shouldn't be hoarding all the wealth" viewpoint that Bernie stands on, she could get behind, but for the most part, I'd see her just wanting to abolish structured government all together. She'd probably cast her vote for "Deez Nuts".

I had been thinking that too, which is why I mentioned anarchism as a possibility for her, but then I remembered her conversations with Solas where she said she would not actually want to "lop off the top" because that would create a new one.  Socialism empowers the government but disables the wealthy. In Thedas, the nobles are generally the wealthy elite and the government authority, however, in America, while the elite rich do have high influence over the government, they are generally not the politicians themselves.
