Does anyone ever craft Dragon Call hammers these days?

I'm trying to get Vitruoso class unlocked by defeating a dragon in threatening difficulty. So I gambled and wasted my resources on creating a Dragon Call hammer and after killing it, I just got a level 10 dagger. I'll never risk again. Couldn't be worse.

I remember 6 months ago when I last played this game, 30-50% of the time, people had Dragon Call, but now... absolutely no one seems to have one. Is there any specific difficulty or element (frost, electricity, fire) which has the most possibility to find a teammate with Dragon Call?

It should be still be the case.  I see people call dragon all the time.   I only call them if I am on Perilous Storm dragon (still need like 3 more for storm bane), or NM dragon.  Why do you need dragon to unlock Virtuoso?   Is it for like Single Player or something?   If not, you just need to craft his armor to unlock him.

not that the resources to craft dragons call are hard to come by, just tat people dont normally call the dragon ont hreatening , lot of people dont on perilus also cos theyve done it plenty times,

Exactly this. You are much more likely to find teammates with calls on NM and above.

As of unlocking Virtuoso, crafting his armour will certainly be a much more realistic way than gambling for dragon's RNG (which, is 99.9999999% junk).

It´s probably not that they don´t have it and more that they don´t wish to fight dragon. People who have been playing for some time already gained all or most of interesting things and they are typically more interested in regular boss in final zone of Ferelden Castle since it provides more xp. Especially on threatening, where dragon drops are less then impressive(if I recall correctly)

edit: ninja´d by multiple folks I see. since I write with snail speed. :ph34r:

If I see anyone stands by the gone indicating that he/she wants to call the dragon but has no call, I will call it for him/her.   Otherwise I like the extra xp by not calling.. except on NM.     Calling the dragon on NM is like buying the lottery ticket.  You know you are not going to win, but you know that if you don't buy the ticket then you are guarantee not to win. :P

Exactly this.

I had a friend who used to say the first lottery ticket increases your chances of winning infinitely.  The second only doubles it.

(side note: need to change my avatar back soon.. this is confusing)

I still have around 60 remaining from the last batch of 500 I made ;)

So I haven't made any in ages......and don't plan to ever again.

A batch of 500?  :blink: I get bored immediately every time after I crafted 2...

I wish we can supply some scrubs some materials and ask them to make calls for us, and then they get to keep all the rest of the materials for themselves to unlock armours.

Remember the dragon call chest in store that weekend where you could buy them for gold?

That's how I "made" most of them ;)

Ummmmmmm.... what?!!! I think I just realized you guys have eaten the game piece by piece and I'm just an amateur. I'm dying while I'm trying to find 25 more silks to get my Virtuoso character, then you've created 500 dragon calls?!! On one of the other posts someone mentioned he had around 300-400 constitution, cunning and willpower... I don't understand. It takes soooooooooooo long loooolllll.

You have lots of metal right?  Make staff upgrade (like staff blade) and salvage them to get cloth.

This is just like back in ME3. Where eventually you started to have abundance of everything and no gift option anywhere.

When you play long enough and have all you need, everything becomes salvage as you have no need for pretty much anything. Virtuoso was such an expensive kit when he came out and now I am nearing 255 cap on almost all materials.

I am sending some luck with getting silk :wizard:

Dump a couple thousand hours or more into this game and you can do the same.

I keep about 25 on hand, I rarely use them in PUGs unless it's a NM or I just want it to end more quickly.

I have a friend who made 200 or so in one sitting to see how many it would take to move his materials # below 255.

Most of my friends have a few on hand... the only people who I run into without them seem to be the people who still need their dragons, or who I'm picking up every 20 sec.

Only on nightmare. I still hope for a PI amulet.

But crafting them is too boring and I often forget.

It's more xp if you don't fight the dragon. Honestly, if you don't have the mats to make any dragon calls, you probably haven't played alot, not trying to be rude to op! I myself will only call the dragon anymore if I have the curse on my Sarabaas for the lols of cursed bees. I always wonder what the randies think when it dies soooooo fast, haha.

@OP

What platform are you on?  If you still need dragon kills, I can carry you through Threatening until you've got the amount you need.  I'm on PS4 myself.

@TeamLaxana

The Curse is definitely a boss-killer.  I love it  :D

There is an event chest (from store) that includes Dragon's Call. However since BioWare isn't doing anymore events they will never appear in the store again.

I really don't understand why they put so much effort into getting people to play MP to just abandon it. *SMH*
