Here. About a minute into the vid.

I do hope that we get to meet her face to face in ME3, and some equivalent meeting for a colonist and earthborn - a grandparent, maybe? And have her face customized to resemble your Shepard, too.

Thanks. Now that news report in ME2 make more sens. I thought it was refering to a random femshep. heh. =P

Man, Hannah Shepard is awesome badass ship's captain, she ain't got TIME to make tea or nag her kid about grandchildren. TIM's gonna try kidnapping her in ME3 to blackmail Shepard, and she ain't gonna have none of it. She'll beat TIM to a pulp, and when Shepard storms in to rescue her, she'll be there standing over TIM's broken corpse.

I think its actualy a neutron star (they have accretion discs too) or some other super high mass object since the central point of the accretion disk isnt really righ tto be a black hole it looks like an actual star instead of a void sucking everything in so I'd say neutron star.

Considering in my ME game she gave birth to the hardest, most ruthless Infilitrator in the galaxy, who even chose Mornith overt Samara... I'd believe itt.

Not contacting a one-night fling from two years earlier I can understand. But really, even if you're a brutal racist renegade down to the bone, who wouldn't contact their own mother after coming back from the dead to tell her you're alive and well? That's just cold.

You missed the mission then. On the citidel you meet a human begger in ther wards. He tells you he knows your Mom and he was formerly in the alliance until drumed out from gross misconduct due to drinking on the job. You check out his story with you mom who captains a ship. You find out the story's true but you find out he was part of Bartarian wars and he's a casaltiy of the horrors of war. Seeing pinnocent people slater in the streets and seeing peopl being carry off to be slave with no way to help them effect him greatly. He stated to drink to get though the days after the war and was soon found out.
After this you get the choose to help him out, give him money and leave, or to tell him off.

Actually mother is an XO in Mass Effect 1, basically a First Officer. Besides that spot on dreman9999



I had fun internally roleplaying that part as it's where I came up with Abigail Shepard's fear of her mother. That one little touch of backstory made me go to a computer and write up an entire personality, backstory and anecdotes for my Shepard.

In ME1 her name appears with subs on (instead of just 'Mum Shepard'), in ME2 it's only spoken out loud for the first time. I persist in ignoring it because I like to think my Infiltrator Shep is Chinese and 'Shepard' is just an alias.

I'm sure that even today there are some Chinese people with Western names. By the 22nd Century the cultural exchange between countries probably has ensured that you can tell nothing certain about a person's name, concerning their ethnicity or nationality.

In ME Earth is still divided into nation states, and I believe China's existence is specifically acknowledged. I like to think my Shep's family is Chinese is all.
