I played one spacer years ago. Is this the only time you hear of Hannah Shepard as a spacer in ME2?

Not contacting a one-night fling from two years earlier I can understand. But really, even if you're a brutal racist renegade down to the bone, who wouldn't contact their own mother after coming back from the dead to tell her you're alive and well? That's just cold.

You missed the mission then. On the citidel you meet a human begger in ther wards. He tells you he knows your Mom and he was formerly in the alliance until drumed out from gross misconduct due to drinking on the job. You check out his story with you mom who captains a ship. You find out the story's true but you find out he was part of Bartarian wars and he's a casaltiy of the horrors of war. Seeing pinnocent people slater in the streets and seeing peopl being carry off to be slave with no way to help them effect him greatly. He stated to drink to get though the days after the war and was soon found out.
After this you get the choose to help him out, give him money and leave, or to tell him off.

I was talking about ME2, not ME1. I know the spacer mission in ME1

/Agree! Best background combo, IMO. At least for ManShep. For FemShep I chose Colonist War Hero instead, because she always seems to have a bit less of an edge than ManShep.

Three possible looks for my version of "Mom" Shepard might look like.

Has for "Dad" Shepard, I see him as either KIA or was a one night stand with someone.

Or another person that just came to me. Shepard's father could be someone that is in a high rank, and so has enemies, . . . . Admiral Hackett! ;p
