Why does it keep saying “You cannot start a new topic”?

I’ve been playing around with the save game editor. I then realised I could put Legion in my squad and take him on Tali’s recruit mission. Then I realised I could take Legion on the IFF mission (Legion’s recruit mission).
Has anyone done this, just wondering what would happen?

I'd be surprised if it actually crashed the game, since legion has dialog for some of the recruitment missions that occur before the iff. Best choice is to game it and see. Just be sure and save first.

Yeah, this... and then let us know what happens. I don't have access to an editor myself and I would just love to know how it works out (maybe if you can... even put it up on YouTube?)
After seeing this thread I did it out of curiosity.
1) You can take Legion with you and game doesn't crash.
2) It seems only the other squadmate will speak.
3) When you meet "correct" Legion... well, it's hilarious. You have two of them in one cutscene.

With the save game editor, you could do the same type of thing with the other characters. Like taking Samara on her recruit mission.

I might even have to try this myself. I've been Jonesing for some Mass Effect. Maybe a full blown ME 1 and 2 with every side-quest possible. You know, for immersion.
