So, just started Jaws of Hakkon and I have to say it was quite a shock going from laughably easy (including Cory) to this.
It's challenging! Love it. Hope it keeps getting better and that both Descent & Trespasser keep the trend going.

JaW isn't hard if you are at the recommended level, have powerfully crafted gear, have an OP class and generally know what you're doing. I played it with my op archer build and steamed rolled through it pretty easy. Killed Hakkon in less than 30 seconds on nightmare.
True. It's not particularly difficult. It's just more difficult than even the hardest Vanilla stuff. I am actually quite enjoying it. Wave after wave after wave of demons at rifts and some of those Avvar have a pretty insane amount of HP. I do think I'll need to switch up my group though. Thinking about trading in Bull for Dorian just for some more firepower. Sera is doing fine and Blackwall is, as usual, an absolute beast, but Bull? Meh!
The Descent is indeed pretty challenging. After you deal with the darkspawn, you'll encounter a new type of enemy with a very powerful ranged attack.
Trespasser is only moderately difficult, though it's mostly about saying a final goodbye than anything.

Sure, but that can be said for almost all games.
"Lol I have best =everything, game easy"
I just finished my first Nightmare run last night. When I played on a lower difficulty, I always said that I thought The Descent was more difficult than Jaws Of Hakkon. I did not find that to be the case on Nightmare. It wasn't the fight in the old temple or Hakkon, or the rifts that I struggled with, it was the groups of Hakkonites that did.
My Quizzy was an archer/assassin and I had Cass, Solas, and Dorian with me. Cass kept getting taken out right away. Ultimately, I swapped her out for Blackwall. Blackwall held it together better than Cass, but it was still hard going. I had finished JOH and The Descent before fighting Cory and by the time I got to him it was like popping off a couple of nugs in Haven, hehe. I agree, the DLC is much more difficult than the base game.
I was expecting The Descent to be the one that put me under pressure, but that went much smoother than JOH.
I didn't find Trespasser to be all that easy, the fights towards the end kept me on my toes. Granted it was my first time playing on that level, maybe next time it will go a bit better.
