One thing about this Pre-Veil world I found rather crappy was that when the Evanuris were warring amongst themselves, Mythal advised them to use proxy warriors to fight their wars. So the gods do not fight amongst themselves, they have their Champions do it.

The thing about the ancient elves is to me they were savages , yes maybe they had thousand years old long debate about whatever with some spirits being all hipster ...but it seems diplomacy , and non violence was beyond them in a lot of cases.

So, this Pre-Veil world sounds pretty much just like the one we have now. Corruption; greed; lust for power; slavery; betrayal; murder. Solas should feel right at home in modern Thedas. We even have magic just not SuperDuperAwesome magic like Pre-Veil.
