The OP showed a picture of a Forgotten Realms Drow. That's what they are.

In my personal opinion, it would be nice to have a race with a culture enveloped in some evil ideals yet plays the hero. Hrm ... the anti-hero race.

Look up the fantasy culture to the fantasy race you're trying to suggest.

 

We already have dark-skinned elves in Thedas. If that's not good enough for you, go back to playing the Forgotten Realms.

That would be cool. Maybe the player character in DA4 teams up with the Dark Elves to stop Solas and his army of Elves. Like making a deal with the devil.

I think the Drow would work just fine on Thedas. We should also have the deep gnomes, they were wicked cool.

All descriptions of the Evanuris seem like they are more like the dark elves of other fantasy genre anyway, so these new Ancient Elves could be the powerful don't mess with me elves I wanted the Dalish to be in DA. So yes I would love to see Darker and more Menacing Elves introduced in future DA games.

I think elves who collude with Tevinter are dark enough. They don't have look dark. Enemies of both the People and the Chantry.

 

I like Dark Elves though... and the dozens of other elves in D&D. The whole setting is better (then again, it's got a 30 yr head start). Trying to impose it here though is a little annoying. Just play D&D. Dragon Age is more interested in social class.
