Sometime in the last few days, my key link to thermal clip packs disappeared. On PC, the "8" key is linked to the PC_HotKey8 command. It still is in coalesced, and it shows so in my key bindings. But the 8 key in game is blank, and will not refill ammo or grenades. It worked fine last time I used it, not long ago.  

 

I have run repair game, no luck.  I have restored a coalesced.bin backup from last year, no luck. Somehow, the PC_HotKey8 has been delinked to clip packs.

 

Anyone have any idea how to fix this? Would reloading the game lose all the hardwon progress I've made in manifest and characters?

I don't know how to help, but your MP progress won't be undone by anything that you do on your PC. That is kept server-side, and can only be reset by BioWare, as far as I know.

When that happened to me, I contacted EA support who was actually quite helpful.  They suggested I go to Best Buy, purchase an Xbox 360 with a copy of ME3, and try it then.  To my surprise, I had no issues with disappearing keys or key bindings again!  Thank Aria...

Repair sometimes does not repair. It might help to delete coalesced and then repair so that the file is re-downloaded.

For 100 quid -Buy a ps3 . The controller understand the console.

have u checked your keybinding in game ? I guess u have, but i could forget personnaly

Actually, I have been playing the Talon exclusively for a couple of weeks. But I have already put my customized key links into the coalesced file, so I have had no problems with that glitch. And my 8 key is not one of those I changed. When I check my keybindings in game, the 8 key still shows linked to clip packs. But in game, that key is blank and does nothing. It just worked one day, and then didn't the next.

I did know of these posts, and used them to fix the Talon glitch. I'll try your idea of deleting the coalesced and rerunning repair. Thanks.

LOL. No thanks. I'd rather continue playing without clips packs than use that controller. I tried it with Witcher; never could get the hang of it.

You have to mod the keybinds for the talon specifically as he uses a different name for his keybinds.
