FMC:

Okay, in the original trilogy we had Klixen, Varren, Harvesters, Deerphaunts, the Superbeatles, Piejacks, some fish, and I believe one mission or another had a type of avian species?

Since ME:A is presumably going to be exploration focused I think a bigger alien bestiary would be nice. I envision a healthy mix of non aggressive and aggressive species of different sizes and behavior, but yes, lets definitely have more of them.

We already have seen a couple. There are a different kind of giant bug similar to the beetles we saw in the Shepard Trilogy, and then there is that giant flying creature that has a dragon-like roar.

Also, I love the Arachnid Xenomorph you posted.

Well I wouldn't mind a couple of more exotic looking species in the game, but I much rather have a game that has quality over quantity with anything they implement. Otherwise it just starts to take the feel of padding and that is something that causes me to lose interest in games.

If they need further inspiration, Jorune and Magnamund are absolutely filled with bizarre and wonderful beasties (ignoring Jorune's furries).

Question is: Do I get to run them over with the Mako for Renegade swag points, or murder them with a krogan artillery piece to get a discount?

Sure, as long as they are creative and comparatively realistic. Bioware has drawn inspiration from tons of things in the past - for example, the Gasbags from Eden Prime were likely inspired by the documentary "Alien Planet".

Sure, more alien beasties are a must. Then again, so are more alien, intelligent species. I'd say the latter is a more pressing matter, considering the fictional universe is filled to the brim with bipedal humanoids.

Why not both?
