Look, I can understanding pre-setting the map on gold or platinum, but why silver?

It's like 90% of the god damn silver lobbies are pre-set map and enemy. Enemy is fine as long as it's not set to collectors, but the xp reduction from pre-set map is too much, especially when it's map and enemy.

Why do I care so much about xp?

Because BSN, because, I like earning points alright? Challenge points, n7 points, more challenge points. Whatever. Just stop pre-setting the map dammit.

I assume that's the reason for many pre-set lobbies.

Silver still has double spacecrabs. Silver still needs to be preset. Collectors are OP on PS3.

Well the rest of us still need to git gut Loufi... Preset is mb a bit overboard - but hey I play the card I'm dealt with from the host. No problemo.
After promotion , silver is probably a Cheap thrill to imagine what our multi platform members (like sin, nightman, xan, ark ...?) must be going through with a low manifest reset.
(I somehow personally feel guilty with a L1 char on gold, still, it just smells like leeching, even if I could probably survive (just barely) on gold with that...

How did Bioware get away with the state of Collectors on PS3? Better yet, how did Sony allow this ****? I heard that updates and DLCs take time to come out on all platforms precisely because Microsoft and Sony check them to see if they **** up their systems.

Brojo told us they 'couldn't replicate' the freezes in-house.

Oh, how we laughed.

My only Collectors freeze on Silver was on White Hazard, in a game with players coming and going, so I have no trouble if someone has pre-selected them.

There are no rules on Silver. None. The point of Silver is that it's supposedly impossible to be annoyed by anything anyone else is doing - including things like pre-setting map or faction, or not helping with objectives, or using TGIs or AIUs. Silver is fun, sometimes, for very quick credits and no loss of consumables.  And as for the map, it is entirely the prerogative of the host, on any level, so there's an easy fix for that one - host if it matters to you.

Not doing objectives on any level is unforgivable. Otherwise, this is true.

I agree with you 100% of course, regarding not doing the objectives - it is utterly unforgivable.  But just because something is unforgivable doesn't mean it has to be annoying.  I think of the term lolSilver in a positive way - I have a laugh and nothing bothers me.

Maybe I take things too seriously and expect PUGs to do the same...

(which can only mean that they simply didn't try)
