it is Grey Wardens. there is 1 moment in the main game that you have a choice in the matter, but you will lose a party member because of it. Also within DAO: Awakening, Yes due to it is a major plot point to recruit new Grey Wardens. Also Oghren can be recruit within the Grey Wardens in Awakenings. Mostly New Characters you will recruit during this time.

Once again the BW writers in their brilliant wisdom blew recruiting any wardens other then a man that hates the GWs and sent assassins to kill the last two wardens in Ferelden..
IMHO recruiting Loghain is not a real option just another flub in the story line..

IMHO Loghain can not be trusted.. I would never arm a man that wants me dead.. That's fool hardy to say the least.

Of course I'd never do it in real life, but Loghain is a very intetesting char. I like him way more than Alistair.IMHO Loghain can not be trusted.. I would never arm a man that wants me dead.. That's fool hardy to say the least.
Which reminds me, wish I could've been able to recruit Sion in KOTOR 2 at Malachor (at the cost of Atton or something).

VodeAn, Alistair leaves a lot to be desired in several areas due to the flubs the writers made. He's more of a manboy then anything.
He's my camp guard after Zevran joins.

By speaking to Alistair you can find out that it would be possible to recruit new people for the grey guardians. Now I want to know if this is possible. If it is when, where and how can you recrute new people?
Alistair is just a new recruit, about 6 month, he don't know how to make the Joining, he does say that there is a Grey Warden compoun in denerim but he don't actually know where it is. You can't recruit anyone untill a plot in the game. And Grey Warden secret compound is also revealed by a plot. So untill then, it is only you and Alistair are Grey Warden of Ferelden.

Alistair doesn't realize how hopeless the situation is simply because he's to gung ho in stopping the blight. The writers have the player jumping through hoops just to build a rag time ill-equipped militia.
The third Gray Warden isn't much help and apparently suicidal. Some times I wonder if he was a real warden or another one of Loghain's lackeys since he didn't offer to make anybody else a warden even though the situation plainly calls for more wardens or is it another flub by the writers?
A trip to Orlais to get the Wardens station there would have been better even if Ferelden fell to the Darkspawn.. Even in "The Calling" experience wardens had a rough time fighting a regular dragon in the deep roads. The AD would have far more powerful then any dragon as we seen in "The Last Flight".

Wish the Warden was able to recruit his party members to the order, he could have been able to perform their Joinings like Riordan did with Loghy. Would make sense if the MC recruited followers not just as allies, but as. Warden recruits.VodeAn, Alistair leaves a lot to be desired in several areas due to the flubs the writers made. I'd sooner choose Zevran, Leliana, Sten, etc for the Wardens than Alistair.

I'm yet to let Loghain live since he a class one asp and has harm my CE family and friends and then there's those assassins and bounty Loghain placed on the wardens' head.
Tidus and Camine isn't the type to let such things slide after all they tracked down and killed Vaughn for kidnapping the wedding party and raping Shianni and later they took great pride in killing Howe for purging the Alienage. The last thing Loghain saw before his demise was those fiery hate filled green eyes of Tidus or Camine as they dealt payback for selling their family and friends into slavery.
