So, I'm disappointed.

Don't get me wrong.  I love DA:I and have played it multiple times.  Now for the DLCs

Jaws of Hakkon - okay.  Good, but not that good.  Basically it's the Emerald Graves with more swamp and people in furs.  Good Boss battle, but, hey.  The Jaws were just more of the same ole same ole baddies.  Not all that different than the Freemen.  Just more of the same.

Descent - by far the best.  Although I was disappointed in how short it was.  I thought it would be about Darkspawn, but, no.. it's about machine-gun wielding Dwarf Mutants with the Boss being a Liripus.  Oh well.  Too bad about Ren though and kind of anti-climatic w/Valta.  What, no Brood Mother?  So few Darkspawn and they don't respawn?  Yet another fetch and collect series that was an ultimate let-down.  What about Orzimar?  Do the mines re-open?  What?  What?  TELL ME WHAT HAPPENS!

Trespasser - okay, fine.  Qunari threat, even well written, but it ended for me at the fight with Saarebas.  In my case, unbeatable (and I tried for 3 hours straight before giving up).  Get him/her/it down to a sliver of health and everybody starts yelling:  "use your hand!"  "use your hand!".  Fine.  Tried the Mark.  Doesn't work.  Wanted to use "Discharge", but, guess what, it's not mappable by any means.  Explode on your own?  Great!  Stand next to him/her/it and explode and lose 1/2 your health.  No affect.  I give up.

I'll try again at a later date.  DA:I is over for me at this point.  Disappointed.

Off to something else.

I'll be back though.

If I remember correctly at least on pc , the new power in Trespasser is mapped on the horse key by default.

Anyway if you can use mounts you should be able to use the mark in the DLC.

Nope.  Not for me.  I read that as well.  Not surprisingly, I still had the mount option, even in the middle of the battle.

It seems you can use Mark of the rift too?

Wait, what? It was still a horse? When you used it, did a mount appear?

That is a bug. If you approach the first elvhen "rift tree" (in the dark chamber of the elvhen ruins) with a character other than the Inquisitor, then the Discharge ability will go to that character, and that character won't be able to use it.

I got this with Cassandra once, but the bug eventually corrected itself by giving the ability to my Inquisitor as well at a later point in the game.

Yikes. Hard to believe Bio didn't catch that.

Yup.  But, as I said.  I get the Boss down to a sliver and use the Mark and nothing.  I even used it multiple times and still nothing.  So frustrating.

Honestly, I didn't try.  Why would I have needed a horse?  :)  It did call my mount when outside the arena though. Weird.

I found the JoH enemies more interesting than typical base game enemies. They're much more likely to have and use abilities. Though this is less obvious if you're using the Trial which promotes enemies.

Actually it is not hard for me to believe. Most (if not all the testers) were probably using the Inquisitor most (if not all the time). Therefore it would never be reported as a bug. In fact on this forum I have only heard of a few posters getting the bug. Most of those instances were resolved by going to an earlier save.

In fact when the Inquisitor gets the upgrade the tutorial pops up talking about it and how the mount key can now be used to use that power. I do not know if the tutorial pops up if a different character touches the the object.

It does.

I think BioWare was more focused on fixing the Lunge and Slash bug at the time, which took priority since it resulted in crashing.

BioWare won't bother with bugs that can be corrected by the bug testers, er... I mean the customers.

Thank you all!  I tried again last night with the "horse" thing and managed to beat the boss (no big deal).

I do have to say that the ending was kind of a disappointment though, although it does seem a set-up for things to be happening in Tevinter on the next game.

No I can't decide if I want to start back at Origins and set up a new World State or start back at Fallout 3 and go through everything again on that series.

In the meantime, I'm having brainless fun with Skyrim for the time being.

I've got a 4 day weekend.  I can decide then.  :)

Again, thank all of you for the help.  :)

Well, for you maybe...

Then again, with the level of delusion you're living in, I doubt you're much of an example of how things really are...

Technically, it's Fallout: PNRPG, but yes.

Seems BW is to busy making gays and doing story flubs instead of fixing game bugs.. Heaven knows DA:I has a passel of them. I started to behead Alexius yesterday and my game froze in mid swing. I usually have him serve the mages.

BTW..This was my first game freeze.

... you think the game would have fewer bugs if all the characters were straight? How would that work, exactly?

With trial promotions, Jaws of Hakkon enemies became the hardest enemies in the game for me. Much harder than Sha-Brytol even.

Did anyone else experience glitchy winter shards in to old temple In JoH? We'd be attacking a Winter Shard when all the sudden its 'target' would disappear and then you wouldn't be able to destroy the shard anymore, even though the party would continue attacking and the visual shard would remain permanently.
