You know what? This post just made me realize, I've never really dreamed about Mass Effect. After all those hours, memories, and feels that game gave me, I can only recall a single dream. And even then, I had no idea what was going on. All I remember is that Tali was in it, at some point.

there is dark and there is Dead Space Dark. Star Wars Kotor TSL is a dark game. so expecting dark dreams from it is normal.

Haven't ever had dreams specifically focused on Mass Effect, but I have had a few dreams that were giant melanges of random video game elements. A memorably insane one consisted of some small midwesterny town being attacked by legions of super mutants and reaper troops, as well as some out-of-the-blue alien invasion completely separate from the Reapers that was entirely fabricated by my mind. It featured Garrus, Tali, Ashley, and Geralt from the Witcher franchise fighting all the various factions, as well as Max and Chloe from Life is Strange just kind of wandering around and not really contributing much until an incredibly surreal moment where Max suddenly blew up a truck with a molotov cocktail and Chloe shot her in the face. 

Maybe the weirdest part of the whole thing was that I was disembodied the whole time, and the entire dream was shot like some bizarre movie, complete with fancy POV shots and other frills. I was also sort of aware on some level that it was a dream, not really lucid and definitely not in control of the proceedings, but treating the whole thing as entertainment, and also as making complete sense. It ended with a bunch of trees spontaneously uprooting and forming into an intricate symbol in the sky, which I felt at the time was extremely important for some reason.

One of my ME dreams, Lay'la from one of my other ME dreams, was in full Cerberus Phantom gear, she went into my cabin. In a hushed voice, she said," thank you for saving my life back there."  I reply, "you are welcome. and it is alright to take your helmet off." so she took her helmet off. Well I smile and said," you are gorgeous." She blushed heavily and said, "thank you." she has pale white skin, pretty blueish green eyes, Insanely long and dense silky smooth black hair that goes to her knees and she is about 5'11'' tall. best character I can compare her too is Visas Marr in overall feel and tone. and We shared a long hug

Alright, last night I had a Mass Effect dream. Which is weird, because I was actually playing Skyrim yesterday for a change. It's kind of long and a little creepy, so I'm just gonna put it under spoilers.

I have no idea how it started, but the first thing I remember is being somewhere that gave me the impression it was a Cerberus lab. I was with two squad mates--I believe one of them was James. Sorry, I can't remember who else was with me.

Anyway, we were all crouched in cover, waiting for...something. The right moment to move forward? There weren't any enemies in the room, and it seemed to be quiet. But, I (Shepard, I guess) kept seeing this...vision. Pearly, purple substance that would slowly ooze and slither from under places like doors or the drains in sinks. I couldn't understand why I kept seeing it, or where these sinks and doors were located, but the feeling that I got from these visions was that there was reason to panic.

Eventually, the squad moved through the lab. The whole place turned out to be vacant, but the final room contained Mordin and Dr. Chakwas. This is were it got kind of weird. Dr. Chakwas was kneeling on the floor in the middle of the room. The entire place was completely empty; no furniture, no lab equipment. In fact, it looked nothing like a lab at all. It was just a dark, spacious room with a deep red carpet and a large window in place of one of the walls with a full sky view I can't describe in detail.

Next to Dr. Chakwas lay Mordin. It really didn't look like Mordin, but upon entering the room I knew it was him. His skin was blotched black in places. These areas were quickly overwhelming the rest of his body like there was something plaguing him. I think Shepard was trying to get Dr. Chakwas to explain what had happened, but Dr. Chakwas just sat there, crying quietly as Mordin wasted away...or whatever was happening to him.

The dream shifted around a lot after that. I got the impression that whatever happened to Mordin back in that room had killed him. The Normandy docked on an unknown planet and the Shepard's squad mates disappeared there for a while. My Shepard did mundane things; drive around the city in a car, (not a sky car, but an actual car) sightseeing, I guess. I can't remember much; just the view of traffic and many streets.

Eventually, we all ended up back in that room again. I assume now that the same squad was with me: James and that silent, unknown and unseen team mate. Dr. Chakwas seemed to be telling the squad that there was something they needed to see. It was then that they (or I) took notice of a dark shape on the white ceiling. The shape was familiar--the moment it began scuttling and bouncing around all sides of the room and the moment I recognized what it was were simultaneous.

Mordin (or Mordin's body?) shot around the room like some kind of cracked out spider monkey. He crawled around the floor in a bridge formation, back arched and limbs bent. He was uttering jibberish at twice the speed he normally did. With his head bent back, almost touching the floor, his eyes stared dead ahead. There was only one thing I understood out of all the nonsense he was spouting: "I quit it now."

So yeah, that was my Mass Effect dream. I woke up some time afterward and wrote this after remembering about this thread,

Well this is more light hearted, My online niece, Shay'la and and Lay'la and myself meet on at Citadel in the Zakura. Shay'la and my online niece realize that they were both N7 Fury and they did a goofy N7 Fury chant and the girls decide to go shopping and I stayed at the Dark Star ordering drinks.

i had a short one, Me, Shay'la, Kai Leng and several Cerberus soldiers did a massive final assault on the Dalek's War-world core. Yes the Core is massive and there were many collectors and daleks defending it. Think just as epic as ME2's suicide Mission. during the assault, Shay'la was running her ass off while Sniping with her Raptor and use Phase distupor regular. as for me, i still had a warhead after my brutal battle with a hydro-morph(think a monster looks similar to a Reaper in both size and scope and overall nastiness). Dalek's War-world had several Weapons of Mass Destruction and was a nightmare-ish army maker as well. It has many thing including WMDs to Army Maker to Weapons Factory to everything else to make a galaxy crush military. best way i can describe it: Metallica All Nightmare Long

I had a dream last night that I was explaining how awesome Mass Effect was to some people. How you could play a man or woman Commander (I actually said they were good dancers ) Then a random guy came up to the group of people and was showing them memes and tumblr comics on his phone, and he was laughing, but they weren't. I was all, "Dude, they're not funny to them. They haven't played the game."

I actually had a Mass Effect dream!

I was on an uncharted world in the Mako, and when driving around I found some really odd anomalies (interestingly shaped rocks) that I went to look at. Then suddenly a batallion of Geth dropped down and I ran to the Mako and got in and shot all the Geth. Fun!

Meanwhile the merc base on top of a near by mountain started sniping at the Mako with those red laser beams at the same time as the Geth were firing their rockets. Even in my dreams, ME1's AI acts strangely.

And that's all I remember.

I may not necessarily have "Mass Effect" dreams often, but elements will pop in from time to time because my dreams are spongy and scattered as all hell.

 

X years ago I had a hybrid dream with Mass Effect and Fallout New Vegas. Basically started out as some random ME Mission with Kaidan and... Ashley? Garrus? Not sure, but Kaidan was definitely there (  ), and I was "Shepard" -- my character, though, not actually me. We were sneaking around some kind of... futuristic... alien... Citadel... building, because secret N7 Spectre space reasons... and then explosion, fighting, ___big blank here___, and eventually we were on horse-back battling Caesar's Legion for indiscernible reasons in the "Mojave Desert" the old-fashioned way. Guns. Lots of guns. So... yeah. Oh, and I think Boone joined my party at the end there? (Why wouldn't he?)   I don't think it even ended. I just woke up.

 

Also had a Reaper invasion dream. Where all I could do was grab my pets and run -- not easy when I had 2 rabbits and 2 cats at the time. 

 

And random dreams where "I'm flying in space with vaguely-looking Mass Effect things that might also be Star Wars, then Alien-face-huggers" and then I wake up. Because my dream-self is not dealing with Alien face-huggers. 

 

Oddly enough, I've yet to have any Dragon Age-ish dreams...  that i can recall

Edit: ok, the above isn't quite right. I've had "magic" in my dreams a couple times, but it's "not real" or stops working because my dream mind is mean sometimes.

I had a dream I was skiing the slopes with none other than Garrus Vakarian. We'd just finished a really challenging run when he pulled up beside me. I expected him to thank me for the fun day, but...

I've only had the one Mass Effect dream.

Well it was more like dreams, I kept waking up throughout the night on the day ME3 was to be delivered as I'd dreamt that it had arrived. Must have woken up every 45 minutes or something that night.

The weird thing was that I wasn't that excited for the game, not the level I had for ME2 at any rate.

I'm pretty sure that any time ME-related elements have shown up in a dream, it's been about me *playing* the games as opposed to occupying the Mass Effect universe as if it were real. The games do have a somewhat distorted form in the dreams - I'm pretty sure there was one where ME1 was actually the second game in the series and I was playing the "real" first game, which involved Shepard having to fight through a long narrow structure akin to a train, and another one where ME3 had missions other than the ones in the actual game and the Normandy was laid out differently.

Remember waaaay back, when I said I've never really had a "Mass Effect" dream? Well, it turns out that it isn't true. I've had lots of them. It's just, I forgot about all of them. A dream I just woke up from reminded me of that. I'm not going to describe all of them, but just the one I woke up from.

 

This is going to be long, so I'll go ahead and put it behind this spoiler. If you don't want to read it, I'll put a TL;DR at the bottom of this post.

Woah, wall of text! Anyway, here we go. So I've had this dream twice. I can't remember exactly when I first had it, but I had the same dream again almost half an hour ago and it reminded me to write it down.

It starts off, with me (as my custom Shepard) standing next to Liara, on this kind of massive shipping boat. There are at least a dozen other people on board, no one special, just refugees or civilians. We're on Thessia, the sky is dark, apart from the bright purple city lights in the distance, that created this kind of purple-neon artificial sunset. It was just honestly a really beautiful view, I want to get that point across. Anyway... We're slowly sailing amidst a bunch of other boats, some smaller, some way bigger, about 6 miles away from the city. Now, this is during the Reaper War. So that view of Thessia's city? Totally got Reapers doing their Reaper thing all over it. I could hear distant explosions and Reaper beams the entire dream.

 

It wasn't explicitly said in the dream, but I assumed all the people on the ships we were sailing on, were survivors from Thessia, trying to get somewhere safe. The cruise was generally peaceful for a solid minute or so, but dreams rarely idle. Liara points out to the largest ship among our fleet. It's this huge, futuristic ship. It wasn't anything specific, like a shipping boat, or military vessel. It was just a massive friggin boat. Like, the size of an aircraft carrier. Those are pretty big, right? Liara tells me that her (our?) son is safe aboard that ship. I know, "how can she have a son, all Asari are women/girls" Don't ask me, I didn't write the dream. Or maybe I did. I don't know how our subconscious works.

 

*ahem*

 

Suddenly, everyone on our ship runs to the front. Some frantically, some cautiously. I remember Liara giving me a deep, worried look, before she took a few steps forward, without getting lost in the crowd. I began following her, when I started hearing this terrifying sound. Like, actually terrifying. It made me tense up on the spot and sweat. It was like a Reaper horn. But amplified. Decreased in pitch. Slowed down x10. And it sounded like it was coming from the very bottom of the ocean. The noise alone made the ship tremble. I ran up next to Liara. She was clutching the railing at the edge of the ship. I stood at her left, put one hand over hers, and held the railing with the other. The horn slowly built up momentum. What started off like a faint cry from under the ocean, became this monotone roar. As the roar got louder, a giant wall of water started rising from the ocean.

 

Yep, just a giant solid wall of dark ocean water. At least 300 meters across and constantly got taller, gaining a meter for every second the roar was sounding. The wall itself was a stones throw away from the ship Liara and I were on, but it wasn't facing us, it was facing the ship Liara's son was on. Some people on the ships began panicking, going hysterical, running to the other end, but most of them were completely still, transfixed by the wall. Liara and I could both sense what was about to happen, but neither of us could do anything. There was a rush of ideas going through my head during that moment. I thought about getting the attention of the wall of water, or shooting it, or ramming the ship into it, but I was frozen in place the whole time. I felt genuine fear for Liara's child at the time. Like, genuine, real world, conscious fear.

 

And then it happened. Once the roar got so loud, to the point it was literally like someone gave me headphones while I was sleeping and turned on death metal at the loudest god damn settings, something jumped out from the wall of water. At first all I saw were a few giant metal tentacles, then there was a flesh of red. I was blinded and deafened for a few seconds, and when I could see and hear again, the ship Liara's son was on? It was being devoured by an entire Reaper. This Reaper was different, unlike the Destroyer or Sovereign class Reapers you see in Mass Effect. It was more organic than a standard reaper. It had a mouth. Longer, more flexible tenticles, and a shorter body.

 

Liara and I looked out to the Reaper. It was thrashing violently, ripping apart the ship piece by piece. It ignored all ships but the one Liara's son was on. It constantly roared and screamed as it threw some pieces of the ship into the sky and fed others into it's mouth. It was like something out of Cloverfield, basically. When there was only a fifth of the ship left, the Reaper dragged the entire thing underwater and dissapeared. I could hear the collective screams of everyone on board as it went under, but the cry of Liara's son stood out. At that moment I saw one final image of Liara's child in my mind's eye. Like a flashback. It was the only time in the entire dream I saw what he looked like, and all I can remember is that he had dark facial markings.

 

Liara collapsed and began crying. For a few seconds, I was completely frozen in disbelief. Just stared at the fiery wreckage out at sea. When I got my nerve back, I sat next to Liara and comforted her. I said something inspirational, I think. No idea what I said really, but I definitely said something at that point of the dream. We had an intimate hugging moment, and next thing we know, we're at the docks at the city of Thessia. The entire dock had been occupied by Reaper forces, but we just jumped off the ship, pulled out our guns, Liara made a funny quip, and... that's when I woke up.

 

Pardon the change of tense, as well as any spelling mistakes It's like, 2:AM where I am.

 

I guess this is the bottom of the post, so TL;DR: I had a dream about Liara's child getting eaten by a giant sea Reaper.

it starts that a severe thunderstorm was happening where I lived; well a damaged Cerberus base appeared; the door was damaged and partially open; so I decide get some gear(pair of machetes, utility belt, rope, med-kit, armor and other stuff), and explore the damaged base. Well the base was going thru an intense fire fight. It was Cerberus personal versus some type of weird ass alien race. Cerberus personal decide to cut with the test subjects for mutunal surivial against this threat. For the aliens were attacking Cerberus base personal and test subjects alike. I decided to help out Cerberus and Test subjects by distracting some of the aliens towards me. Well I used my machetes and bow and arrows for the stealth kills. Side note: the weapons that Cerberus, Test Subjects and Aliens were using were extra loud; so me flanking them for a sneak attack was made much easier for that reason.

 

Of the course the dream, I found a headset that reduce the sounds from the weapon fire while retaining a normal conversation with someone else. of course I did run out of arrows(for all of them broke due to thick hide and armor of the opposing aliens force). As I was following this Cerberus Hit Squad, they mentioned that they were being following by an unknown ally or test subject. Well one of the scientists mention this person aka me was an un-registred person and was interested in using me as a part of a Cerberus project. Kai Leng that there was a Undamaged testing lab for Cerberus Phantom but mentioned that I might be too injured to live thru the process but is interested if I can surive it. Kai Leng is twice as big of an ******* in this dream as he was in Mass Effect 3 but with less plot armor more flexible capable version of a Cerberus Phantom. So while I was following them, They decide to arrange a meeting with me. For shits and giggles, Kai Leng used a low intensity phase disputor on me. while i was passing out, Lakota and Shay'la and one of the scientists yelled Kai Leng for knocking me out and flat on my ass. Kai Leng replied on the lines we are assholes and less screaming on his end and it will be better for both us and him if he was converted into a Cerberus Phantom if he was to be any help to them. Talking to him and waiting for the drugs to kick in will take a bit too long for his taste due to the nature of the situation.

 

There was an A.I. similar to Cortana of Halo fame and Edi from Mass effect. Well she has an idea of Cerberus Phantom Nano Tech that help speed up the process and increase the healing factor, biotics and other abilities. Shay'la was bit worried about the experimental technology this early in the game. Well she did ask to get the upgrades as well as the other Cerberus phantoms. I woke up before she did with a mild headache and told her that she needed to becareful in standing.

 

Well the upgrades include Increase Physical abilities(with moderate bonus to strength agility and endurance and health bonus) and Increase Eye sight was well.

 

So The A.I. thru my new headset, guide me thru the basic training of Cerberus Personal(including basic weapons handling and marksmanship and obstacle course and basic squad unit tactics) Shay'la turned to me and said Sorry for Kai Leng's action, for he is an *******.  All of us suited up and went to the T.A.R.D.I.S. near the core of the Base to send the base back to the future. the Base was sent to the future. The T.A.R.D.I.S. had other plans for us including infliration of the Alien Race's Warwold and explain that This Alien Race that we were fighting so hard was just shock troopers for the Dalek's fleet and the Dalek Emperor need the Human race to improve their shock troopers. So me with a mild headache and being mildly annoyed, suggest we take the warworld into deep space and blow it up and steal as much data as possible if they get a idea of attacking anyone again. with mild annoyance, Kai Leng agree with me. One of the scientists aka Richard thinks i am an idiot for my idea. I explain that if we don't stop them now, they will keep attacking Earth in his past, and they are going either kill, convert or enslave everyone on earth in the 21th century. Also I explain that I still care for my friends and family and I will fight both smartly and hard despite being scared out of my mind. I ask if he cares for anyone, well he fell quiet and eyed a beautiful blonde lady with insanely long hair named Tessa(she is similar to Delilah in my other dreams and Delilah and Tessa looks an gorgeous Emma Frost; at least I do think Emma frost is gorgeous)

 

 

Well we gotten on the Warworld, We decide to keep all of the Scientists and non combat specialists and a few Cerberus Phantoms to defend the T.A.R.D.I.S. and escape if overwhelmed and monitored our progress and collect data and footage for study.

 

 

I was alone due to a quick battle force me to escape another way from the rest of my team. I was in communication with them for a bit and planned to meet  them up ahead. Well there was a prison. Warning due to the nightmare fuel, within the prison, there was several people(ranging from humans of all stripes to aliens of all stripes). All of them were mentally and emotionally broken; physically alive and decent health(with weird mutations and cybernetic beyond what Cerberus did in Mass Effect Trilogy). but fully and utterly broken mentally, emotionally and spiritually. An Angel of Death appear explaining that they were dead in all forms and even if I could save them, they will never be the same. I re-signed and because of the T.A.R.D.I.S. language matrix I read every inch of the console and instruction manual and hit the burn all of the prisoners they had. then screamed loudly out despair. Then Decided to destroy their cloning labs just in case. there are a lot more detail from this dream.

In my dream I was a young asari. I went to see the matriarchs and demanded they allow me into their ranks. I had a notepad with me where I had listed all the reasons why they should do so (I was not wasting my youth in strip clubs like the others - I had my own ship and crew; I was using my powers for the greater good of the galaxy). They laughed at me and said I was too young to be considered anything more than a child.

I was on a Geth Starship as Shepard, with all my favorite characters with me. It seemed like the Reapers had won and this was the last advanced ship in the galaxy. Then the Reapers showed up and I went full badass. Me and my friends throw on helmets and jump out the airlock. Garus, Grunt and Wrex go and take down a reaper with their bare hands (Somehow?) Liara uses her powers and starts blowing **** up and Tali just starts firing lightning out of her hands. Legion somehow hacks a reaper and starts using it to kill others. Then me, I somehow have all the powers of all the classes and I use singularity and pull about 40 Reapers together. Then I Vanguard charge right through all of them at once. They all blow up and while I was doing that everyone else had killed all the Reapers.

 

Then I woke up.
