So hopped in game, and it was only a Silver...anyway it was platinum mix, with mob density through the roof, but only really mooks and captains till the end waves. The payout was also Platinum level as well.

Was this that husk mode I always dreamed about in my PS3 days?

Not sure...I thought Husk mode would only be husks...i mean there were a ton, but a mix of enemies as well. Ive been out of loop and took like 18 months off following the birth of my son, and really didnt lurk the forums either.

It's a modded game, but not husk mode. Some hosts run different types of mods with high credit pay outs without giving any notification at all to the other players before the game starts. They might call themselvs "space wizards" or whatever but they are all sad little creatures with nothing more productive to do with their time other than ruining the game for those that have no interest in these mods.

As soon as you see mixed factions outside of Platinum you know the game is modded, that will never happen by accident or due to bugs etc etc.

The host actively need to be running some type of mod to make it happen.

I knew it was a mod right away, but it was kind of fun...especially with a new manifest...it was only 150k payout...so i dont feel too guilty spending those credits.

I haven't seen a husk mode yet, but I have dropped into some modded games including:

-Nearly endless waves of mixed mooks

-High payout

-Instant shield regen

-Buffed powers

My most recent modded game I dropped into had no cooldown on powers, and radius was drastically buffed. Proxy mine killed everything in one hit and had the radius of the entire map. There was a kill streak every time you shot a proxy mine at your feet.

Games like that make me miss my console.

Got in an ongoing silver game twice two days ago - both times the same host.

There was absolutely no delay between waves, even the audio commentary from the commander/shuttle pilot didn't play out completely before the new announcement for the new wave began.

Also, enemy density seemed extremely high even in the first waves - add to that the fact that apparently all spawn points remained active constantly even if you stood right in one. Wasn't funny killing some mooks only to be downed instantly by the fresh group spawning literally 3 meters behind you.

Host was a Turian Ghost with a Carrier, so he didn't have as much issues with being focused I imagine...

I just hope modded hosts alert their teammates before starting or keep their game private.

Wave 10 hacking with 20 possessed abominations and 2 banshees running around is definitely not good to health.

You'll be in for quite the experience if you happen to drop into a modded match set to one of the unused checkerboard maps.

Those are always fun. I've hosted that twice on LolBronze before.

If you see a see a flying turian, it's not lag. ;) I'm not a hacker, I was just programmed this way. The flying turian is working as intended. Please preset Condor for the Flying Turian to soar freely.

P.S.: I do not live in a cage, so you don't know where I live.
