Andromeda's new protagonist

Note: I have realzied that much of what I had asked doesn't seem to make much sense and can't be relative to ME: A. I realized it after I posted this topic, so no need to reiterate something I already know. However, I'm still open to your opinions on the new protagonist, not a mental evaluation or a suggestion to think about what I said more. Thank you.

I'd rather they have no relation or correlation to Shepard though they could leave references in to Shepard such as optional mentions of hearing about their death, their deeds and seeing them on the holo-vids.
Basically, a way of acknowledging the Mass Effect series and Shepard without needing to touch on the third game since the Ark supposedly left before that installment. I am not certain, however, so it may be the Ark has left even before or during Mass Effect 2.

Shepard's story has ended. I think it's time to move on. The Mass Effect universe has too much potential for it to be focused on one protagonist.

You've got a point there. Thanks for the input

Most of the romances can't yield human children, and many players never romanced anyone.
Yeah, I thought about it more after I posted this and realized that in most scenarios, it wouldn't work

They should move on from Shepard anyway. Even though the idea of being Shepard's kid is cool, it could not really work due to the romances like Silvos already said and the way ME3 ended kills the idea of anything set after. Plus as far as I know Shepard's only family are his father (who is never shown) and his mother and even that depends on the origin you pick.

We'll make them Shepards fathers brothers nephews cousins former room mate and introduce the mog as a species.

Yeah, I realize that now. It was just a thought, but now I know it's pretty far-fetched

I believe there might be small references to Shepard in ME:A. I mean perhaps they'll mention his/her background and the major decisions in the trilogy but that's about it. I mean anything big I doubt it. BioWare is VERY keen on moving away from Shepard. I wouldn't say to no to possible cameo (thorough archive footage obviously) but I wouldn't miss it much either.

We already had three games with Shepard.

Yeah, I know that. I respect Bioware for moving on and trying to expand beyond Shepard's story. However, in my opinion, Shepard is probably one of the best protagonists created in video gaming, I for one will miss Shep.

Also, you never have any nice comments to say to me. Like, the only things you've ever said to me were quite rude. I've done nothing to you. So, I'd rather you not talk to me at all if you're going to act that way.

If you're somehow not a troll you should definitely see a therapist. You're extremely over-emotional.

"Gordon Shepard, who was John Shepard's brother, was one day a space ship looking at a star map. He got an email from his brother saying that reapers and husks were attacking Earth and aksed him for help so he loaded up the ARK and flew to Andromeda."
