What do you mean by Revan?
Hawke is synonymous with snarky, imo ![]()

Becuase I like Revan and they did a good job with them. I'd like them to try and make another human PC that's that likable and has an unknown twist to it...

Ah I see..
I think they were going for that at first with the Inquisitor. The whole mistaken Herald thing and amnesia.
Except it sucked... and multi races might've taken the focus off the protag's story.

Less creepiness when trying to seduce someone, ala Femshep with Jacob and Vega. I mean, a little creepiness, but a lot less.
Creepiness of protagonist is the best creepiness.
2. Not another Hawke
3. Snark. So much snark.
You should make up your mind about what you want.

Meh. Well, it wasn't really an unknown twist to me. Being a Dark Lord was like O.O OMG
Yeah. It sucked. I only really like my Lavellans out of my PC's for some odd reason...

I still like the human... at least out of those options. I'm still not a fan.
Yeah, Revan had a good twist..

Additionally I'd like to be able to design every aspect of them aesthetically, down to the size of their fingernails. If I don't get what I want I'm not buying this game. Because me me me me me me.
/End sarcasm
Nah, not really. Being serious now I just want some better written lines than what was seen in DAI tbh. I don't want, for instance, to pick a seemingly tough response whilst confronting an enemy, only to cower like a little schoolgirl or act like a three year old chucking a tantrum.
Given my pessimism I'm not expecting a lot of variety when it comes to the dialogue wheel but for [Censored] sake write the lines decently and make sure they actually fit.
If we're talking aesthetically, while I don't give too many squirts about hair and eyebrows you can do better than previous games. And please, no buck teeth.

I want a protagonist with a completely blank slate and no personality whatsoever so I can have complete and total control over them because me, me, me, me, me.

Nah, not really.
Sad thing is, I almost took you seriously.
Seems like many gamers would prefer a sandbox. The less literary value, the better.

Let's see. From the "leaked" survey:
"...You are a pathfinder, a combat trained but un-tested explorer leading an expedition into the Helius cluster."
"Combat trained" leads me to believe that the pathfinder can make hard choices, while "Un-tested" tells me mistakes will happen. Our intrepid hero has one goal... establish a foothold and survive in the cluster. So, what character type would the ARKON Executive select to lead the expedition?
Personally, I hope the game allows us to define out character as we progress through the game without the concept of bad azz / good azz. Making tough choices that gives you pain now but leads to survival later is what leaders do. History will probably judge either way. The pathfinder was either a strong but cold hard son-of-a-biatch or a strong, intelligent and a visionary leader. The pathfinder's choice in making allies with their new neighbours, standing up to the Khet and focusing on exploration (to obtain advanced tech blueprints) was the key to survival in the cluster.
Andromeda does not need the plot of a P/R or good/bad azz. It just needs an excellent engaging story with well defined characters, simple gear upgrade mechanism, customization of our gear, an easy inventory management system, new powers / skill sets, better leveling, user choice in gear/weapon selection, good banter, good combat mechanics with pause, good pacing, meaningful quests, good idle cinematics and fun to play over and over again.

One that isn't called Ryder. Please BioWare, Ryder is such a terrible name, let our character be called something, anything else.
And miss out on all the hilarious given name/surname combos that come along with Ryder? But think of the lulz!

I always thought the issue was just about voiced protags vs non voiced because non voiced is easier to add lots of dialogue options but Inquisition had tons of them. They were mostly complete trash though, now I think maybe less verity and more impact would be preferable. IDK tho, I know they have done do both verity and impact before but if they can't I would rather not have a bunch of meaningless out of place stuff to say, especially not if it waters down the story.

A protagonist with an actual personality and some charisma. Not the stereotypical badass gruff character. Strong but faulty. Maybe someone that can either be a witty, doubtful or a complete "axhole" (can't use the actual word..) depending on the dialogue choices. Someone with actual depth to them.
Like Revan?

I'm down with this. The childish tantrums over "sjws" and "feminazis" are likely to be more entertaining than the game itself.Billed and advertised primarily as the female rather than the male counterpart.
I get it, male characters are more marketable, but sheesh. Every RPG I've ever played uses a male character as the default/marketed character, or the character is canonically a guy. Having it be a female just for once would be nice.

lol, when Hale narrate that N7 Day vid. Saw the long crying comments of how their Shepard is a guy and its SJW to make the vid voiced by FemShep...... Jennifer Hale still play a main character and main NPC for SWTOR... its so much easier for her than calling Meer to drive all the way to LA just for a short vid.
