It's great to have diversity in body types.  We already had the roid user in ME3, so now I hope for a small frame man in ME: A.  I like the idea of having a male party member that you can take care of and protect.  Not that he couldn't hold his own or anything.  Just that you can watch over him during battle and then pick him up and put your arms around him after the battle.  Not like a father figure or something, but just a party member that needs you there for him.

Different races and species are great, but different body types can open doors as well. Keep this trend going.

I wouldn't mind and would like being able to play a more lithe character.

I'm hoping Bioware adds a body slider to the CC, or at least creates a few preset body builds.

I think the latter would be more likely than the former due to animations between characters.

I think so as well.

There's a really skinny body frame (type 1) in SWTOR. I never really use it but it would have been funny. But I wouldn't mind more diverse body types in Mass Effect franchise.

SWTOR like body types (1-4) would be nice.

I vouch for the space dwarves (the Vol-clan). After all they are our main source of income.

I'd love more body types, but the male elf model from DA:I was really bad. The Qunari were kind of weird too until a few patches. Hopefully if the ME:A team chooses to add a body slider or whatever that it is of much higher quality than what DA:I did with the races.

Well I hope the men and the women are built like tanks. I felt fem Shep and the women of ME were too scrawny. Women can have muscle. I'm not talking fem bodybuilder but like Rhonda Rousey. I don't mean to offend any ladies who disagree. It's my opinion.

Cool opinion bro. This topic isn't about female body types though.

Im cool with the current size just dont use the same body for every character in the game and don't have Boy-Ryder using female shoulders back animation. Or female shoulders turned, looking backward over right shoulder animation. Or female hand rubbing animation. Or female hip out to the side animation. Or over the top hand waving puppet animation that reminds me of Team America. Or worse yet smashing Tali's body onto a completely different character and giving them extra large boots. (Cassandra I accuse thee!)

If we had the option to change our body types than I wouldn't mind a more lean and maybe less muscle body structure to use. It would provide more for the player to do in terms of customization so that would be nice to have.

ME did have some difference in body types of male human squadmates, Kaidan was quite regularly guy with muscles, Vega was huge bodybuilder, Steve was more in lanky, but still muscular side and Joker was quite lanky as well. But I'm all for different body types- hopefully for female characters and protagonist of both sexes as well.

Shep was big in ME3, but I'd hardly call it a "roid user". Those guys are twice the size.

The super skinny man-elves in Dragon Age Inquisition were taking it a bit too far.

But I agree, you don't have to be a hulking huge James Vega to be strong, or average build with muscles like Manshep or Jacob to be mansly and military.

google Richard Madden in Game of Thrones and find the scene in which he takes off his shirt.  That's the body type we need to have for male characters.

Steve, Kaidan, Joker and Shepard all use the same body and armour meshes as each other. Only Vega is unique and even then his default armour is the same mesh as the N7 Defender armour and he uses the same Cerberus Ajax armour mesh as Shepard for his alternate armour. His From Ashes armour is the same mesh as Kaidan's but in a different colour. Joker is always in the Normandy uniform, as is Steve unless you romance him and that is the same mesh used by Shepard, Kaidan, all the crew and alliance personnel on the Citadel, the kids at Grissom and the Cerberus scientists on Gellix. There is a skinny version of that mesh which I think some of the kids might use but I've never noticed it in the game.

I'm not saying this to point out that you are wrong, just that you can think something is different than it actually is. I do it too. I always feel that Steve is taller than Shepard and Kaidan is a couple inches shorter even though they are all the exact same height.

Maybe the game architects will include an evolved Atlas robot or an android, like the one from the Alien movie.

Well that's possible. Maybe some outfits or other portions have cheated my eye and I have been left with impression of Steve and Joker being less big and muscular as others. Would have made sense taking according their professions.

Sure. As long as they are not like the elves in DAI, where they looked like a strong wind could fold them in half.

So long as the stick shift isn't small too I have no objections.
