First, cogratulations to Bioware for the game ;) and now, let me say that the romance of Solas is the best of DA Inquisition. Last night , I finished with my elf archer "Trespasser", and I fell in love completely <3

However , I was disappointed not to have the option of accompanying Solas in the Eluvian. It is a beautiful and sensitive romance, but I would have liked to see that left him questioning everything to be with her lover.

Even so, it is a wonderful game , but I have that nailed thorn in the heart .

Thank you very much and forgive my English ... I am Spanish

Glad you enjoyed the romance. :)

As for why there was no option to go with him, I'm sure it's because Bioware has plans for the Inquisitor that don't quite gel with that outcome.

I agree. The Solas romance left me feeling wanting and heartbroken. I wish my Inquisitor had the option to accompany Solas as well, however, there is something bitter sweet that really sticks with me about her waiting to find a way to change his heart. That he does not want us to "see what he will become." It is heart-wrenching.

Well, technically there is an option. Lavellan can ask Solas to let her go with him to which he refuses.

Anyone who asks to go with Solas, who wants to help him, after hearing all of his utter madness, is not fit to be an Inquisitor.

Also, ill leave this here because I think its funny.

He doesn't want you to see the monster he must become. I know that sounds like a Linkin Park song, but his involvement in Trespasser is entirely based on easng his conscience for the actions he must take.

You probably shouldn't genocide the planet just because a cute guy wants to...

Is wonderful and romantic, and touches your soul <3
I need more Solas xD

The problem is that I suspect that if they make a Dragon Age 4 , do not control the Inquisitor (miss an arm). Therefore, since Solas possibly is the" villain ", you can not continue or terminate that relationship :(

Seriously. Morrigan is my absolute favourite Bioware romance to date, but you can bet that if she tried to burn down the world I would end her. I would hate it, I would regret doing it, but I would do it. This is why a lot of the Solavellan fans genuinely scare me, a lot of them are crazy.

Good thing the Exalted Council is taking care of that for you, then. :P

I just want to change his mind. You know, pretty-woman him. You know.

With the power of love ™

....

But seriously, redemption is a legitimate goal in DA4, right? :(

I'm a crazy Solavellan fan and I don't want to burn the world. I just want to change his mind. -_-

I disbanded the Inquisition in my Solas-romance, so that wouldn't be a problem

To be honest, If the choice was presented, I would have gone with Solas...I am Dalish after all, isn't that the ultimate goal? To rid ourselves of the Shem and recover and preserve what once was? I would. In DA4, when Solas returns as the potential villian, and I see my Levallan standing next to him, I would kick her a@# too. It would be awesome!

I think it will only be legitimate if you played the DLC and chose that option. I have the feeling the default world state for DA4 will be with the "I have to kill you" choice.

Understand, it is to condemn the world for his regrets , but I've done terrible things in the other Dragon Age ( kill Leliana , help werewolves , get Meredith side... :P) and I am a romantic . The craziest , are made for love ;)

To be honest, If the choice was presented, I would have gone with Solas...I am Dalish after all, isn't that the ultimate goal? To rid ourselves of the Shem and recover and preserve what once was?

At the expense of all the current elves? Solas makes it clear no matter what race you are that this world must die to save the old one.

A true Dalish wouldn't go with Solas since he is the devil of their religion, and his plan involves wiping out the modern elves including the Dalish.

Eh, it's just a game, I'm sure most of them wouldn't consider that type of thing really.

Anyway, there are plenty of us Solavellan fans who don't want anything like that. :)

So, in the epilogue, all the elves are leaving to presumably join Solas. I believed they would enter a place where the eluvians lead, leaving this world behind - Dalish, City, and Hedge alike. It was a presumption, I admit, but how is he going to save the elves if there aren't any to save?

I think if you rp a Dalish you can be in a bit of a predicament.

The ultimate goal of the Dalish is restoring what was lost , turns out it's not possible without some ultimate sacrifice on their part.

They have to decide if they are indeed broken almostt beyond repair as a species, or not .

He means the ancient elves. He specifically tells a Dalish Inquisitor that the return of his world means the end of her people.

You're right, he does. So, where are all the elves going?

Actually that was never confirmed. That bit of dialogue can be interpreted to mean several different things.

If the Dalish people are restored to their former glory, are the technically Dalish still?

If the modern elves regain their immortality/culture/magic, are they still not Solas' People?

When he says the end of her people, does he really mean just the end of her culture/way of life or the literal annihilation of them?

The lines like the "end of your world", "your people must die" and so on are all up for individual interpretation. Many like to take it to mean murder, but others take it to mean transformation.
