Hi! I'm about to start my first play-through, and I was hoping for advice on two subjects. Also, while I am asking for spoilery information, I would really appreciate it if the spoilers were limited to just these questions. Thank you

1) For setting up my world state in the keep, does having the warden drink Avernus's concoction or not affect the warden's chance at long-term survival? (So far). I'm keeping my other decisions according to what I actually did in the game, but I only played that dlc after beating the game - so, while my warden did drink the thing, she didn't use (or have) it to kill the archdemon, so I'd rather not let an afterthought kill her if the concoction is actually a slow poison.

2) I've heard that some inquisition characters will romance each other if you don't romance them. As long as you don't actually have sex with party member A, can they end up with party member B? Or could one flirt line mean they don't end up with anyone? I don't want to mess up any romances just by flirting!

Nothing comes out of Avernus potion , so do whatever you feel like.

 

About romances I don't know honestly .

Hello. I hope you'll have fun during you first DAI run

 

1) Drinking or not drinking Arvenus' mixture is not mentioned in DAI. Neither are consequences of this action.

 

2) It's true that some party members can end up with someone else if you don't romance them. Flirting will not stop them from later getting together with someone else. But - afaik - at least one pair requires you to lock into another romance, so they stop being on your "potential LI" list.

If you don't romance Blackwall in DAI, then he gets together with Josephine.

 

If you neither romance Dorian, or Iron Bull, those two get together.

 

BUT

 

they only get together if you have them both in your party and they get to their romance banter.

 

Also, if you don't romance anyone, they will stay single, because the game reserves them for you.

Yup, as said above they may romance each other.

In addition, an unromanced Sera gets together with another member of the Inquisition you know from DAO (read Sera's diary, especially in Trespasser).

While Cole cannot be romanced, certain choices in his personal quest lead to a romance with an Inquisition member in Trespasser. This specific member gets a romance independent of Cole's quest as far as I know.

Those two don't actually get together. They have tokens of affection but nothing beyond that.

In Trespasser, Blackwall said it never went beyond exchanging tokens of affection and stopped long before the DLC.

I used "together" more in the "they have feelings for each other" way, than in "they have a real romance" way.   Should've worded it better.
